Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center was founded on the belief that every parent deserves the support, resources, education, and encouragement needed to give birth to a healthy baby and to their goals, dreams, and purpose. Through our programs and partnerships, we walk alongside pregnant and parenting families as they overcome barriers, improve their well-being, and create stronger futures for themselves and their children. Tonight, we celebrate the individuals, families, organizations, and community leaders whose service has helped pave the way for others. We also recognize the courage and determination of the families we serve, whose stories continually remind us why this work matters. MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD CHAIR Dear Friends of Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center, It is my honor to welcome you to the 2026 PPRC Legacy Ball. Legacy is a powerful word because it means something different to each of us. For some, legacy is what we leave behind. For others, it is what we build, what we pour into others, the opportunities we create, and the lives that are changed because we chose to show up. As this celebration has evolved from the Mommy & Me Ball into the Legacy Ball, I believe the name beautifully reflects the evolution of Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center itself. PPRC continues to grow not only in the programs and resources it provides, but in the depth of its impact on families, children, partners, and our broader community. And that legacy belongs to all of us. Tonight, we are also privileged to honor individuals whose leadership, service, and contributions remind us that legacy is not simply what we leave behind, but what we choose to build and invest in while we are here. Every family that has walked through PPRC’s doors has left a mark on this organization. Every staff member who has served with compassion and commitment has helped build its foundation. Every Board member, volunteer, community partner, donor, sponsor, and friend who has shared their time, resources, relationships, or belief in this mission has become part of PPRC’s story. Just as importantly, I hope PPRC has become part of yours. Perhaps its impact can be seen in the confidence of a mother who discovered what was possible for herself and her child. In a family that received support at the moment they needed it most. In a business that chose to invest in something larger than itself. Or in a supporter who came to understand that strengthening families strengthens entire communities. That is the beauty of legacy. It is not created in one moment. It is built through relationships, choices, service, investment, and the collective belief that what we do today can create possibilities for generations we may never meet. As Board Chair, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to steward this mission alongside our President and CEO, Veranda Rodgers, our dedicated staff, my fellow Board members, and each of you who continues to believe in the vision of Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center. The Legacy Host Pierra Heard Pierra Heard of Cleveland, Ohio, embodies a multifaceted career and life rooted in leadership, service, education, and community. She is a devoted mother, higher education professional, Founder and CEO of the nonprofit organization Millennial & Mommy•ing, published author, and doctoral student. In 2018, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with dual minors in Entrepreneurship and Photography from Hiram College. Her extensive involvement as a campus leader during her undergraduate years precipitated her career in higher education. Serving in roles such as Orientation Leader, Executive Board Member of the Black Student Union, member of the Funding Allocation Board with the University President, and Admissions Tour Guide, her tenure at Hiram catalyzed a shift in her professional trajectory toward higher education administration, motivated by a desire to support students with similar experiences. Ms. Heard currently holds the position of Associate Director of Enrollment Management at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She holds a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and is completing her second master’s degree, a Master’s in Leadership and Organizational Change. Continuing her commitment to lifelong learning and leadership, she is also pursuing a Doctorate in Organizational Behavior, with a projected completion date of May 2028. Her nonprofit organization, Millennial & Mommy•ing, recently received the Nonprofit of the Year Award, and she was honored as Mom of the Year by the Mom’s Choice Awards. Concurrently navigating a fulltime career, entrepreneurship, motherhood, and her academic pursuits, Ms. Heard was recognized as a community leader by Forbes Under 30, which led to her inclusion in WHO’S WHO in Cleveland alongside Congresswoman Marcia Fudge. Cleveland’s Black Women Werk also recognized her as one of the “Dope 10 Black Women You Should Know” in September 2024. As she continues to grow professionally and personally, Ms. Heard looks forward to welcoming her second child in February 2027. Through every season of her journey, she remains committed to facilitating the advancement of others, consistently advocating for philanthropy, community engagement, educational access, and the creation of meaningful resources and opportunities for future generations.

Mrs. Tierra Banks, MSW
Tierra Banks is a dynamic national presenter, international mother-daughter coach, relationship architect, published author, and podcast host who helps people turn insight into meaningful transformation. As Founder & CEO of Mended Relationships and Executive Director of the Mended Inc Foundation, Tierra has led a growing national movement since 2017, helping women heal family wounds, strengthen mother-daughter relationships, and break generational cycles. Her signature frameworks and tools— including Discover • Recover • Reconnect™ and the Relationship Audit, help people understand what shaped them, address what needs healing, and intentionally build healthier relationships with themselves and others. Professionally, Tierra serves as Chief of Probation and is cofounder of the Court of Transformation, where she brings that same belief in human potential to the justice system, helping justice-involved individuals move beyond labels, examine patterns, and create new possibilities for their lives. A social work professional, 2024 Emerging Legend and 2026 Emerging Leader honoree, Tierra blends education, professional expertise, lived experience, and holistic healing. Underneath all the frameworks, credentials, and fancy titles, she believes Jesus Christ is her secret sauce. Tierra believes transformation matters most when it changes how we love and how we show up for one another. The best part of her world includes her husband Dan and their two children Peyton and Dawson.

About Founded in 2015, Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center (PPRC) is a Cuyahoga County-based nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming maternal and infant health outcomes through culturally responsive care, education, advocacy, and support. Aisha Childers is a passionate entrepreneur and an advocate dedicated to creating opportunities that empower individuals, families, and communities. Through her work in business, youth development, education, and community initiatives, she has made a meaningful impact by connecting people with resources, programs and opportunities for growth. Her passion for service extends internationally through her non-profit work in Nigeria, where she creates opportunities, supports initiatives designed to empower individuals and contribute to sustainable positive change. Her work both in the United States and Africa reflects her belief that meaningful impact begins with investing in people and creating pathways for individuals and communities to succeed. Aisha is dedicated to building stronger communities, supporting the next generation, and creating spaces where individuals can learn, connect and thrive.
FAMILY LEGACY HONOREES Nanekia Ansari & Ayesha Wilcox Young Lives Cleveland
Nanekia Ansari and Ayesha Wilcox are sisters whose love for family, community, and helping others has shaped more than 15 years of service together. While their paths and leadership styles are different, they share the same heart for making sure women, young parents, and families feel seen, supported, and reminded that they do not have to navigate life alone. Nanekia Ansari is an author, parenting advocate, mentor, and nonprofit leader who spent 25 years working in higher education. Today, she serves as Executive Director of Pink Party Retreat, helping create opportunities for women to heal, connect, grow, and build community. Through Just One Hot Mom™ and her years of mentoring, Nanekia has personally walked alongside more than 75 teen mothers, offering practical guidance, encouragement, resources, and the kind of support that comes from genuinely wanting to see women and their families succeed. Ayesha Wilcox has built her career around developing people and strengthening communities through her leadership with Young Life and YoungLives. Her work has included developing leaders, staff, volunteers, and ministries while making diversity and representation an important part of the conversation. When COVID-19 changed how families could be reached, Ayesha was the visionary behind LyfePact, an initiative that allowed the ministry to stay connected to teen parents and their families while getting much-needed supplies, resources, and support into their hands. Their work with YoungLives began in Cleveland but ultimately connected them to a much larger global network of leaders, young mothers, and families. Those experiences allowed Nanekia and Ayesha to share what they had learned, build relationships across communities and cultures, and expand their support for young parents well beyond their own city. Some of their most meaningful work has been the work they have done together. For more than 15 years, they have served through YoungLives Cleveland, helping support more than 200 young mothers and their families. Alongside three other single mothers, they also helped launch the Single Moms Conference of Cleveland, the first conference of its kind in the city created specifically to bring single mothers together for encouragement, resources, connection, and empowerment. Their sisterhood also gave birth to The AnsariGirls podcast, a space built around the same honest conversations the sisters have always shared with one another. Through real, sometimes funny, sometimes difficult, but always genuine conversations, they opened their sisterhood to a broader audience and created a platform where women could hear stories that reflected their own lives. The goal was simple: create a place where women could feel safe, respected, supported, and free to have conversations about the things we do not always talk about openly. Through the years, Nanekia and Ayesha have mentored, listened, prayed, connected people to resources, opened doors, created programs, celebrated victories, and stood beside women and families during some of their most difficult seasons. For them, this work has never simply been about titles or recognition. It is about people. It is about family. It is about using what you have lived and learned to make the road a little easier for someone coming behind you. They are sisters by birth, partners in purpose, and together they continue building a legacy rooted in faith, family, service, sisterhood, and love.
2026 Legacy Ball Honorees FAITH LEGACY HONOREE Pastor Kristian “Pastor KB” Bailey-Gaines is a devoted woman of faith, wife, mother, author, film makeup artist, and visionary leader. She is the Founder of SIs Bloom, a women’s empowerment movement committed to helping women heal, grow, flourish, and discover their God-given purpose. She also serves as Co-Pastor of Alive Church International alongside her husband. With a heart for people and a passion for purpose, Pastor KB is affectionately known as a “midwife of purpose.” Through ministry, speaking, mentorship, and creative expression, she equips and encourages others to become anchored in Christ, embrace their identity, and boldly walk in all that God has called them to be. Her message is rooted in faith, healing, identity, purpose, and personal transformation. Whether she is behind the pulpit, on a stage, on a film set, or pouring into women through Sis Bloom, Pastor KB is committed to helping people recognize what God has placed inside of them and giving them the courage to bring it forth.

2026 Legacy Ball Honorees Angela Newman-White Executive Director of First Year Cleveland
COMMUNITY LEGACY HONOREE Honored for her dedication to improving the health and wellbeing of families and advancing community-centered efforts that help create healthier futures for mothers, babies, and generations to come. Angela Newman-White has over 20 years of public health experience addressing racial inequities in maternal and child health. As Executive Director of First Year Cleveland since 2023, she leads a team whose work is centered in the lived experiences of Black women to ensure that all babies survive and thrive through their first birthday. Notably in the last 3 years, her leadership has led to over $11 million invested in local organizations serving Black women and families, the establishment of the state’s Infant Vitality Advocacy DayLighting the Way to One- to activate community involvement in advocacy efforts and most recently serving as the Community Champion for the cash prescription program for pregnant women, Rx Kids. Angela attributes her success to her authentic partnerships and results-based approach. She leads with integrity, compassion, inclusivity, and truth-telling with a mission to shift the narrative from individual responsibility to systems accountability. Mrs. Newman White holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Cleveland State University. She is a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and an advocate for reproductive, social, and racial justice.
