with Svetlana Tuchinsky, B.M., MA Ed, 15+ years experience. Learning to play the piano is FUN! Piano lessons should be enjoyable and productive, not dull and isolating. By putting students into small groups in the beginning, we give them a chance to share the learning experience with others. This creates a built-in support team of friends and encourages children to practice. Activities include music-oriented games, EZ music theory, and ear-training. Classes are progressive: Piano 1, the beginner's class is followed by Piano 2, etc. Each student has access to a piano or keyboard in class; however, a piano or keyboard is needed to practice at home. Mindful of gradual reopening, we reduced the size of the group to 3-4 students for inperson classes.

In the morning, we'll try our hands at our own “master paintings“, including Picasso, Van Gogh, Matisse, David Hockney, Gauguin, Chagall, and others. We can use their paintings to enrich our own styles, or we can copy them in the manner of the Renaissance artists to improve our own abilities. All you'll need are your own paints – acrylics, oils, watercolors, pastels, pencils, or crayons. Suitable for beginners to more advanced, it’s a great group to create with! Bring your own paint, brushes, jars and table coverings to work on our large tables.
Location: CAB
In the afternoon, we'll create hands-on collages with all types of surfaces. Participants will gather their own supplies which we will discuss the first day of class while making paper collage cards. Please bring magazines, photos, scissors and glue sticks, and a smooth cover for the table.

Free Agent Forms can be downloaded at : www.quickscores.com/redwoodcity
You will be required to complete the entire form, including what sport you would like to play, age, level of ability, positions you play, and a current photo of you. Specially-trained volunteer counselors provide weekly visits to adults age 55+ to help manage transitions and life changes such as health concerns, mobility issues, caregiver needs, and grief. Special care is taken to connect participants with someone who shares similar life-experiences and perspectives, with programs offered in languages such as English, Mandarin, Spanish, and Tagalog, and to participants who identify as LGBTQ. Peer counselors meet with participants via telephone, zoom or when possible in person. For more information contact Peer Counseling at 650-403-4300.
