Back to school with Prairie Public Now that students and teachers are back in school, Prairie Public’s Education Services staffers are filling their calendars with outreach events, educator conferences, and a new project aimed to improve service to rural schools. Grant creates community teacher position PBS has selected Prairie Public to be one of five PBS member stations to receive a threeyear grant to participate in the PBS Teacher Community Program pilot. The project is designed to strengthen training opportunities, resources, and support to teachers in remote school districts throughout the Prairie Public service area. The new program aims to understand the needs of these communities better and to help give educators and schools located in smaller, more isolated areas the resources and connections they need to succeed.
