As the year comes to a close, it’s only natural to look back, to reflect on what we’ve done and what we’ve seen this year. And at the Reporter-Herald, we share what we’re seeing with you, the readers, every day.

We’re often there for the dramatic moments in the community, and for the moments of celebration. We’re here to share the stories and faces of your neighbors, the people who make Loveland a special place, and the events that make it the vibrant community we know it to be.

Sparks, is responsible for most of the photos you see in the Reporter-Herald, although other staff members jump in to help as well. We all have our eyes on the community and are ready to take photos whenever needed.

This special edition will take you back through the year to relive the highlights and reflect on the people and events of Love-

land and the surrounding communities

Although this issue contains photos of news events, we especially like seeing the faces, people at work, at play, celebrating victories, celebrating holidays, celebrating the seasons.

You’ll see the Buckhorn Northern Railroad, the Love Locks sculpture, the Feed and Grain

Building. You’ll see the parks and trails, schools, public art and businesses. You’ll see events from Valentine’s Day to high school graduations, to the Fourth of July and other summer celebrations.

We’re proud of the work we’ve done in 2022 and we’re pleased to share these photos with you. We hope you’ll look at these photos and remember the good times of 2022. And we hope you continue to look for us to hold a mirror up to this community we love in 2023

Emily and her younger sister, Zoe, suffered serious injuries in a rollover accident in April 2021. Emily is part of the TVHS volleyball team that won the 2022 state championship.

Reflected in a mirror at her salon, Abi Eusea poses for a photo holding one of her kokedama plants June 21 in Loveland. The owner of Coiffeur Salon in Loveland started creating kokedama, a particular style of using a ball of moss to pot plants. They became very popular with her salon clients, so she decided to start creating them to sell through her new business, Kokedama Momma. Some of her other kokedamas including a cactus, sit on the fireplace mantle below the mirror.
