Join the Weld County Fair for their Junior Livestock Sale on August 1, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Event Center at Island Grove Park. The Weld County Junior Livestock Sale is an annual event held at the culmination of the Weld County Fair. The top 246 animals nominated for the sale are eligible for the sale, including all Grand and Reserve Grand Champions in each of the seven species. Buyers may bid on animals outright or support several members by giving an “add-on”, which is money added onto the sale of any animal. Buyers also have the option of donating the meat from the animal to the Weld County Food Bank. The 2022 Sale order will include the following species: Swine, Chickens, Goats, Turkeys, Lambs, Rabbits, and Beef. CCi-Live will be the sale platform this year. Here you can watch the sale and bid on animals. This is just an extra amenity the fair is offering, as they are still hosting an in person sale. All buyers please join the fair for their Sale Dinner starting at 2:00 p.m. in the Event Center. Would you like to support a sale qualifier, but don't want to buy the entire animal? The add-on program allows you to do just that. Using the Add-On Sheet , all you need to do is identify the exhibitor(s) you want to help and place an "Add-On" of any amount. To send the form back please mail to weldjrsale@gmail.com no later than the end of business on Thursday, August 4th and your contribution will be added to their total. In 2021 the Weld County Junior Livestock Sale raised $1,335,000.00 including all add-on’s for the Weld County 4-H and FFA youth who participated in the program.
