Carol Ann Gentry passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on January 3, 2020. She was born in Canon City, Colorado on May 9, 1944 to Elmer and Madine (Williams) Little. After graduating from Canon City High School in 1962 Carol Ann met the love of her life, Vincent "Bud" Gentry and they were married in June 1967. Carol Ann founded and ran The New Child Montessori Preschool for over 40 years where she touched the lives of many young people. She was a longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church and a dedicated member of PEO Chapter DK for 37 years. She is survived by her husband Bud of 52 years; children, John Peckham of Colorado,

Michelle (Ron) Cook of Colorado and Jerome Gentry of New York; grandchildren, Jamie LeVan, Trevor (Elsa) Cook, Kylie (Anthony) Jaramillo, Isabel and Elsa Gentry, Ashton Cook; and great-grandchildren, Emily and Lucy LeVan. Debra Bergeman 1956 - 2019

Debra Ann (Anderson) Bergeman 63, went to be with her Heavenly Father Friday, January 3, 2020. Debbi was born June 14, 1956 to Charles and Beth Anderson in Great Bend, Kansas. She attended Canon City High School and graduated in 1974. After graduating she married her high school sweetheart and soul mate, Mathew Bergeman on December 14. 1974. Debbi worked at St. Thomas More Hospital for several years and owned Debs Candy Bouquet on Main Street in downtown Canon City. After working for Hallmark, she retired. At home she was able to do the things she loved to do as Matt built her a craft house for her to go wild. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She has a village that covers a majority of the room and lights up the entire house. Every room in the house is overflowing with Christmas. Her husband and 7 grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her husband Matt of 45 years, her daughter Alisha Bergeman, Sydnee and Chloee, two sons Tyson (Rachel) Bergeman, Abbie, Juiliet and Allison, Travis (Dede) Bergeman, Cameron and Haeden. She is also survived by her two sisters, Laura Valerio and Jeannie Price, nieces Nikki (Harvey) Wall, Shannon (Josh) Henry and Shawna Stevens. As well as several sister and brother-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews on both hers and her husband's side. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Beth Anderson; her mother and father in law, Louis and Eleanor Bergeman; two brothers in laws, Bob Bergeman and Kevin Mackowick. Service will be held on Friday January 10, 2020 at 11am at The Grandview Christian Church 3243 Grandview, Canon City, CO. Entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home.

Sunday, December 29th, 2019, Lillian Hanson, passed away at the age of 94. Lillian was born April 14, 1925 in Wetmore, CO to Homer and Nettie Breece who raised 8 children. She was married to Lewis Hanson and lived and worked in Pueblo, CO. Lillian retired from the telephone company, Mountain Bell and later moved to Canon City,

Marjean A. Rahn Murr, a longtime resident of Fremont County, passed away December 21, 2019. She was born in Seattle, Washington on July 17, 1941 to Richard and Martha (Roletto) Shellenberger. Jean was the owner of Rahn Insurance Agency and represented Farmer Union Insurance Agency and others for 38 years. She loved raising and racing thoroughbred horses. She was a member of the CTBA and enjoyed hiking, rock hunting, and spending time with her friends.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Murr; and brother, Rick (Tamara) Shellenberger of Tennessee. June 9, 1923 - December 25, 2019 Erika S. Pannke, 96, passed away on December 25, 2019, in Florence. Erika was born June 9, 1923 to Franz and Susanna (Baumer) Gabelier in Klagenfurt, Austria. She married Theodor L. Pannke on June 16, 1942 in Klagenfurt and they immigrated to the United States on August 13, 1953. They became naturalized US citizens on April 16, 1959. Erika loved to hike and read. She loved to feed the birds and squirrels and watch them play in the backyard. She truly loved life and thanked the Lord for every day

she was given. Erika was an incredible person and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Erika is survived by her son, Gerd (Kim) Pannke, granddaughter Elizabeth (Adam) Westgate, and great grandchildren Jacob and Kaitlyn Westgate. Erika was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Theo, and her granddaughter Kristina Pannke. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11 at 10:00 am at the Shepherd of the Hills Church in Canon City.
