H e h as followed the " Big T op " fo r his entire life, a nd has seen every major circus a nd circus p erformer in his lifetime. As his interes t in the circus grew over the years, Bro . Stugard reach ed the p o int where h e wanted a circus o f his own, and h e began carving on e o ut o f wood. Stugard , who is now eig hty-six yea rs old, has resided a t the Masonic H o mes at Elizabethtown fo r the p ast twelve years. H e has been a me mber o f Muncy Lo dge No. 299 fo r the past sixty years. H e also ho lds m embership in the Scottish Rite and in the Shrine. In connection with his interest in the circus, Bro. Stuga rd is pro ud o f the fact that he has held memberships in the C irc us Fa ns' Associa ti o n, the C ircus Model Bui lders a nd the C ircus Historical Society. Bro. Stuga rd keeps one o f his carved elephants on display in his room a t the Masonic H omes as a memento o f h is lifelong love a nd interest.
