The Reverend Richard A. Morledge Named Grand Chaplain Bro. Morledge was chairman of the presbytery council from 1971 to 1974 and was the presbytery moderator in 1976. Widely known throughout western Pennsylvania as a speaker and lecturer, Bro. Morledge is the author of a number
of religious monologues and is author and director of Biblical Po rtrayals for Worship. Bro. Richard A. Morledge Bro. Richard A. Morledge, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, has been appointed a Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. The R.W. Grand Master, Bro. Samuel C. Williamson, presented Bro. Morledge to the memb ers of the Grand Lodge during the June Quarterly Communication held in Pittsburgh. A member of Richard Vau x Lodge No. 454, Bro. Morledge is a member of the Valley of Pittsburgh , A.A.S. R., and Syria Shrine, A.A.O.N.M .S. A past president of the Syria Temple Clergy Unit, he has served as a Chapl ain for more than 10 years. He is also a member of NACO Caravan No. 19. Bro. Morledge graduated from Grove City College in 1954 and from the Princeton Theological Seminary in 1957. He was awarded an honorary doctor of divinity degree by Grove City College in 1973. Th e Reverend Morledge began his ministry at the Mt. Prospect Presbyterian Church in Hickory, Pennsylvania where he served from 1957 to 1960. His current charge, at the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, dates to 1960. He also served as visiting lecturer in religion at Washington and Jefferson College in 1959 and 1960 and currently serves as a speech critic in the Homiletics Department of the Pittsburgh Theological Se minary. A special youth program will precede the communication when the winner of the essay-orato rical competition for the International Order of Job's Daughters will deliver her address. Pl ease note the processional will fo rm at 6:15 p.m. Those who wi ll attend the co mmunicati on are advised that a television fi lm crew will be on hand to fil m a portion of the proceedings, particularly the processional. The quarterly activity wi ll become an important part of the television program concerning Freemasonry in Pennsylvania that is being produced through the Grand Lodge Com_mittee on Pu blic Information. It is expected the program will be released near the end of this year.
