Grand Lodge Gives $4,716 Contribution To Memorial Assn. The Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania has given $4,716 to the George _Washington Masonic National Memonal Association. The presentation was made prior to the association's annual meeting Feb· ruary 22 at Alexandria, Va. The contribution represents $1 for each initiate into the Fraternity in Pennsylvania in the preceding y~ar .. Th!s continuing Grand Lodge contnbut10n IS part of the "Pennsylvania Plan." Under the plan, the Grand Lodge presented about $300,000 to the association nine years ago and since then $1 for each initiate. In all, $76,644 was reported contributed to the association this year by all the Grand Lodges. A breakdown of the amount shows: -$ 19,2 18 for the endowment fund. -$55,676 for maintenance fund. -$ 1,750 for landscaping fund. It took $ 174,000 to operate the Memorial last year. This included $15,000 for a reserve fund to meet future emergencies. Of the total operating cost last year, $54,000 was contributed by Grand Lodges and $ 122,000 was income from a $2.8 million endowment.
