Diplomas Presented to Ten Boys At Patton School Commencement Commencement exercises of Patton Masonic School were held on Saturday morning June 6, 1970, in the George H. Deike Auditorium. Dr. D. L. solos by two class members were a part of the program . Speaker for the occasion was Bro. Arthur R. Diamond , R. W. Grand Treasurer. He talked on the theme "Achievement" stating: "One symbol of life is change - another is continuity and they do not necessarily conflict." Addressing the graduating class directly he said : "Hopefull y you r years at Patton have given you a sense of continuity and grow th as well as encouragement to make the necessary adaptation to modern li ving. T here is nothing you cannot attain if: first, you get a clear vision of what you want most to do; second, believe that you can and will succeed; and third, start now to do it and keep at it." T he Trustees of the T. Harrison Gibson Memorial Fund of Lodge No . 9, Philadelphia, donated $3,700.00 to Patton Masonic School. The money was used to carpet student rooms and the dining room. At the conclusion of the program, luncheon was served to the faculty members, students and their guests .
