THE HISTORY OF THE SRO MOTORSPORTS GROUP

For more than 30 years, SRO Motorsports Group has played a central role in shaping global GT racing.

Founded and led by Stéphane Ratel, the organization has helped define how production-based sports car racing is formatted, regulated, and experienced around the world. From reviving GT racing on the world’s biggest stages to building interconnected global championships we know and love today, SRO’s history mirrors the evolution of modern GT competition itself, and its story is inseparable from the success and growth of GT racing worldwide.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, GT racing had largely begun fading from prominence. Prototype cars dominated on the endurance racing front, and production-based entries were increasingly pushed aside, even at iconic and historic events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans. That very same landscape then changed. Following the collapse of the World SportsCar Championship in 1992, an opportunity emerged to bring GT cars back into the spotlight. Building on experience gained through the Gentleman Driver’s Trophy for the Venturi 400,

Stéphane Ratel was instrumental in reintroducing GT machinery to Le Mans in 1993. The result was an immediate resurgence, with the event rebounding from a small prototype-only field to a full and diverse grid.

Momentum continued in 1994 with the creation of the BPR Global GT Series, founded by Ratel alongside Patrick Peter and Jürgen Barth. The championship attracted manufacturers and teams eager to compete with recognizable, high-performance GT cars and quickly became the backbone of international GT racing.

“Stéphane

Ratel was instrumental in reintroducing GT machinery to Le Mans in 1993. The result was an immediate resurgence, with the event rebounding from a small prototypeonly field to a full and diverse grid”

THE HISTORY OF SRO

This success led to the launch of the FIA GT Championship in 1997, firmly establishing GT racing as a global discipline. A major milestone followed in 2001 when the 24 Hours of Spa was transformed into a GT-only endurance race. From there, it eventually went on to grow into the world’s largest and most prestigious GT competition.

The late 2000s saw GT racing reach new heights with the introduction of the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2010. Featuring factory-backed teams and extreme machinery, the series delivered spectacular high-level performance but also highlighted the financial challenges of manufacturer-driven racing. By 2012, it became clear that a more sustainable approach was needed.

SRO responded by accelerating its focus on GT3, a category built around cost control, Balance of Performance (BoP), and strong independent and privateer operation and participation. The launch of the Blancpain Endurance Series in 2011, followed by a Sprint series in 2014, marked a decisive shift toward a model

that balanced professional competition with long-term stability.

That vision fully came together in 2019 with the creation of GT World Challenge Powered by AWS. The championship unified GT3 racing under a single global banner, with regional series across

America, Asia, Australia, and Europe. This structure allowed teams, drivers, and manufacturers to compete in their respective regions while remaining part of a worldwide championship framework.

The Intercontinental GT Challenge, launched in 2016, further expanded SRO’s international reach by linking the world’s great endurance races into a single global championship, with highlights including the Bathurst 12 Hour, CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, Nürburgring 24 Hours, 1000km of Suzuka, and the season finale Indianapolis 8 Hour.

Beyond the GT3 realm, SRO has continued to broaden opportunities within production-based racing. The introduction and growth of GT4, GT2, and

“The championship unified GT3 racing under a single global banner, with regional series across America, Asia, Australia, and Europe. This structure allowed teams, drivers, and manufacturers to compete in their respective regions while remaining part of a worldwide championship framework.”

touring car categories created additional pathways for manufacturers and drivers, catering to a wide range of experience levels and budgets.

As SRO continues to evolve, its influence on GT racing remains unmatched and undeniable. With championships spanning multiple continents, record-breaking grids, and ongoing innovation in sporting formats and fan engagement, the organization continues to set the standard and raise the bar for motorsports competition.

GT WORLD CHALLENGE AMERICA

POWERED BY AWS

GT World Challenge America powered by AWS remains one of the pinnacles of GT racing in North America, showcasing elite GT3 competition on some of the continent’s most demanding circuits. The 2026 season once again delivers a coast-to-coast calendar, opening in the rolling hills of Sonoma Raceway before heading to Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. From there, teams and drivers take on the physical demands of Sebring International Raceway and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, followed by high-intensity rounds at Road America and Barber Motorsports Park. The season concludes in spectacular fashion at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with the Indianapolis 8 Hour, run in conjunction with the Intercontinental GT Challenge.

As part of the global GT World Challenge powered by AWS platform, the championship is linked to a worldwide network spanning four continents: America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Collectively, the platform features 53 rounds across 30 world-class venues, including iconic circuits such as Mount Panorama, Spa-

Francorchamps, Suzuka, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, placing GT World Challenge America firmly within the highest echelon of international GT competition.

SRO America’s premier GT series continues to evolve, and recent format updates have added a new layer of excitement to race weekends. For 2026,

GT World Challenge America features a three-hour race at each event, replacing the former pair of 90-minute contests. This streamlined approach delivers a headline Sunday race, introduces expanded strategic elements, and creates a more efficient and engaging weekend format for teams, drivers, and fans alike.

The championship also benefits from the continued evolution of the global GT World Challenge structure. In 2025, a record 10 manufacturers participated worldwide, alongside the introduction of a revised points system that awards points based on overall race classification. A maximum of two cars per registered manufacturer are eligible to score points, with remaining top-ten finishers from the same manufacturer rendered invisible and their points redistributed. Class results no longer contribute to points totals, while manufacturer and driver points remain distinct within each continental championship.

Beyond domestic accolades, competitors are racing for global recognition. The Level Up Award provides a pathway to the legendary CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, while every entry also contributes points toward the Global GT World Challenge Manufacturers’ Championship.

The series attracts leading manufacturers and professional teams, each fielding two-driver lineups. Entries are categorized into three classes based on combined driver ratings: PRO, PROAM, and AM. Clear visual identifiers assist fans in following the action, with number panels displayed on the side, hood, and

“GT World Challenge America features a three-hour race at each event, replacing the former pair of 90-minute contests”

rear bumper. White decals denote PRO entries, black identifies PRO-AM, and red signifies AM class competitors.

The 2025 season delivered dramatic racing and tightly contested championships that came down to the final round. In PRO, Kenton Koch and Connor De Phillippi claimed the title for Random Vandals Racing, edging out JMF Motorsports’ pairing

of Michai Stephens and Mikael Grenier. Turner Motorsport’s Justin Rothberg and Robby Foley successfully defended their PRO-AM crown, fending off a determined challenge from DXDT Racing’s Blake McDonald and Matt Bell. The AM class saw a fierce Ford-versus-Ferrari battle, ultimately won by AF Corse USA’s Jay Schreibman and Oswaldo Negri.

WHERE AND HOW TO WATCH

The GT World Challenge America powered by GT World Challenge America powered by AWS competes at premier circuits across the United States, beginning at Sonoma Raceway before visiting Circuit of The Americas, Sebring International Raceway, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Road America, and Barber

Motorsports Park. The season finale takes place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with the coveted Indianapolis 8 Hour.

PIRELLI’S PROVEN PERFORMANCE

For more than 150 years, Pirelli has stood at the forefront of tire innovation and performance. Founded in Milan in 1872 by Giovanni Battista Pirelli, the company grew alongside the rise of the automobile industry, quickly establishing itself as a leader in rubber technology and motorsport development.

From the beginning, racing has served as both a laboratory and a proving ground for Pirelli. Lessons learned on track have continuously shaped the company’s road tire development, creating a direct link between elite motorsport competition and the tires used by everyday drivers around the world.

Pirelli enters the 2026 season marking more than a decade and a half as the official tire supplier for SRO America. This

long-term partnership reflects a shared commitment to innovation and consistency across multiple championships and racing platforms.

Because many of the cars competing in SRO America are closely based on production vehicles, the data gathered during race weekends plays a vital role in refining tire performance for consumer applications and purposes. With a diverse grid of manufacturers and vehicle types, SRO America

provides an ideal environment for tire development under real-world racing conditions.

SRO America presents one of the most technically demanding environments for a tire manufacturer. Pirelli must deliver competitive, durable performance across a wide range of machinery, including high-downforce, rear-wheel-drive GT3 cars, GT4 cars with comparable power and varied chassis layouts, and touring cars featuring both front- and rear-wheel-drive platforms.

Across all categories, Pirelli’s P Zero racing tire range is engineered to deliver consistent grip, stability, and predictability, allowing drivers to push their cars to the limit with confidence in both sprint races and endurance contests, or changing weather conditions.

Motorsports remains central to Pirelli’s philosophy of continuous improvement. Each evolution of the P Zero race tire builds on data collected from thousands of competitive laps, contributing to advances in grip, heat management, and longevity. However, these innovations are not strictly confined to the paddock. The same technologies developed in GT racing influence the design and performance of Pirelli’s road tires, ensuring that everyday drivers benefit from the lessons learned at the highest levels of competition.

“ The company continues to invest in reducing its environmental footprint through the development of eco-friendly materials, bio-based compounds, and more efficient manufacturing processes.”

Pirelli’s involvement with SRO extends far beyond North America. The brand serves as the official tire supplier across SRO’s global GT platforms, including GT World Challenge championships in Europe, Asia, and Australia, as well as the Intercontinental GT Challenge.

Beyond GT racing, Pirelli is also the exclusive tire supplier for Formula 1, further reinforcing its role at the pinnacle of global motorsport and its ability to meet the demands of vastly different racing disciplines across all types of circuits. Looking ahead, sustainability remains a key focus for Pirelli. The company continues to invest in reducing its environmental footprint through the development of eco-friendly materials, bio-based compounds, and more efficient manufacturing processes. This commitment

aligns closely with SRO America’s broader sustainability goals, ensuring that high performance and environmental responsibility go hand in hand as the sport continues to evolve and grow.

With more than a century of motorsports experience, Pirelli’s reputation has been built on innovation, reliability,

and performance under pressure. From wet-weather breakthroughs to modern high-performance compounds, the racetrack has always been the ultimate testing ground. Meanwhile in SRO America, that same legacy continues in order to help shape the next generation of tire technology for drivers on track and on the road.

INDY 8 HOUR: GT RACING’S ULTIMATE SEASON FINALE

Each October, the world of GT racing converges on one of motorsport’s most iconic stages for the Indianapolis 8 Hour. Returning for the 2026 season, the highlight event once again serves as the final and decisive round of both GT World Challenge America powered by AWS and the Intercontinental GT Challenge, bringing together the best teams, drivers, and manufacturers from around the world.

Set at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the event represents the ultimate test of durability, strategy, and execution, with multiple championships being decided under the lights at the Racing Capital of the World.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway is unlike any other circuit on Earth, with its exceptionally prestigious reputation and rich history. Opened in 1909, it is the oldest continuously operating motorsports venue

on the planet and has hosted nearly every major form of racing, from the Indianapolis 500 and Formula 1 to NASCAR, MotoGP, and top-level sports car competition.

While IMS hosts several major events each year, the Indianapolis 8 Hour stands apart. It is the longest race held at the facility and remains its only night race, creating a unique atmosphere as daylight fades and the final hours unfold under the lights and night sky. The finish

is marked by a fireworks display and a victory celebration on the famed Yard of Bricks, arguably the most recognizable finish line in motorsports.

Since 2020, Indianapolis has served as the American stop on the Intercontinental GT Challenge calendar. The championship links endurance racing’s most elite and competitive events across four continents, forming a global test unlike anything else in GT competition.

The 2026 IGTC season once again includes the Bathurst 12 Hour in Australia, the Nürburgring 24 Hours in Germany, the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa in Belgium, the 1000km of Suzuka in Japan, and the Indianapolis 8 Hour in the United States. After surviving multiple longdistance races at high-intensity venues, Indianapolis delivers the final challenge.

For GT World Challenge America powered by AWS competitors, the Indianapolis 8 Hour represents the most important race of the season. Unlike standard race weekends, the event is worth double the amount of championship points in comparison to the regular three-hour contests, elevating the stakes even more. With American championship contenders sharing the track with IGTC entries, the intensity is heightened,

“ Unlike standard race weekends, the event is worth double the amount of championship points in comparison to the regular three-hour contests, elevating the stakes even more”

strategies become more complex, and every decision carries greater consequence. It is a true convergence of domestic and global GT racing.

The Indianapolis 8 Hour weekend is more than just one race. Alongside the headline

endurance event, the full lineup of SRO America championships takes part, including Pirelli GT4 America, GT America powered by AWS, TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing School, Toyota GR Cup North America, and McLaren Trophy America. Each series brings its own title battles, ensuring nonstop on-track action and a festival-like atmosphere throughout the weekend.

F rom international factory-backed teams to North America’s top GT competitors, the Indianapolis 8 Hour showcases the full breadth of the global GT racing community, making it a can’t-miss event and the ultimate conclusion to the SRO America season.

Few teams in North American sports car racing carry the same level of respect and recognition as Wright Motorsports. For more than two decades, the Ohio-based organization has been deened by two constants: Porsche machinery and winning results. As the 2026 SRO America season begins, Wright Motorsports is turning the page and entering a new era while staying true to the foundation that made it a championship-caliber name.

Wright Motorsports has built its reputation on unparalleled consistency, execution, and performance. Operating out of Batavia, Ohio, the team has long been recognized for their professional race car preparation facility and championship-winning Porsche customer racing program. Along the way, Wright Motorsports has earned victories at some of the most legendary and challenging endurance events in the world, including the Rolex 24 At Daytona, Twelve Hours of Sebring, and the Indianapolis 8 Hour.

That success extends deeply into SRO America competition. Wright Motorsports has earned championship crowns in both GT World Challenge America and GT America, underscoring its ability to deliver results across multiple formats and driver lineups. Most recently, the team captured the 2024 GT World Challenge America Pro Class title, earning three wins and seven podiums across a demanding thirteen-round season.

The momentum did not stop there. In 2025, Wright Motorsports expanded its global footprint, taking on international competition at the marquee CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa and the 3 Hours of Nürburgring. Those eeorts further demonstrated the team’s ability to compete at the highest level, both domestically and abroad, while continuing to showcase the sheer strength of its Porsche-based programs.

Now, 2026 represents another pivotal moment.

Following the formal transition of ownership from founder John Wright to Adam Adelson last year, the longtime team member and driver has been leading Wright Motorsports into its next phase. Adelson’s vision is centered around both on and oe-track growth while preserving the values that have made Wright Motorsports a trusted name in customer racing. The focus is clear: build and nurture race-winning Porsche programs in top-tier series, develop drivers at every level of competition, and continue strengthening the customer ladder within the SRO America paddock and beyond.

That commitment will be on full display in 2026 through an exciting, multi-car return to SRO America competition. Wright Motorsports will eeld entries across GT World Challenge America and GT America, blending proven experience with new facesand emerging talent. With fresh lineups and an invigorating energy, the team enters the season hungry to add to its already highly impressive résumé and list of accomplishments.

For fans, Wright Motorsports’ presence in SRO America means more than just an expanded Porsche presence. It represents continuity, ambition, and a team unafraid to evolve while recognizing where it came from. Wright Motorsports is poised not just to compete in 2026, but to help shape the next chapter of SRO America competition altogether.

POWERED BY AWS GT AMERICA

After making its debut in 2021, GT America powered by AWS has rapidly established itself as a premier sprint racing championship, combining the intensity of short-format competition with some of the most advanced GT machinery in the world. Heading into the 2026 season, the series continues to evolve, with additional car models joining the grid to further expand competition and diversity across all classes.

Focused on delivering high-impact, performance-driven racing, GT America maintains a streamlined and purposeful format that complements SRO Motorsports Group’s globally recognized GT racing platform. The championship provides an environment where precision, speed, and strategy are placed at the forefront, creating compelling ontrack battles from start to finish.

Backed by more than three decades of global GT racing leadership and over 35 years of uninterrupted sports car racing in North America, GT America powered by AWS stands as a destination series for competitive drivers seeking elite-level

racing combined with premium hospitality and professional organization.

The championship will once again feature two 40-minute sprint races per event weekend, and competition remains open to Bronze-rated drivers, with eligible machinery spanning the GT2, GT3, and GT4 categories, ensuring a wide range of performance characteristics and strategic approaches on track.

Furthermore, the GT4 class entries contribute towards the global GT4 Manufacturer Ranking, with points being awarded based on the overall classification of each round. A maximum of two cars per registered manufacturer are

eligible to score points over the course of a full season, directly contributing to the global standings.

For 2026, GT America officially welcomes Cup cars to its grids, adding a new dimension to the championship. Race-prepared Porsche Cup, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, and Ferrari Challenge cars will be eligible to compete. The popular Masters Award also returns, honoring the highest-finishing driver aged 55 and older at each race weekend.

Cars are differentiated by power output, aerodynamics, and drivetrain layouts, with GT3 entries delivering the highest horsepower, followed by GT2 and GT4 machinery. Clear visual identifiers are used throughout the field, including side and rear bumper number panels that are color-coded by class: blue for GT2, red for GT3, and yellow for GT4.

“GT America powered by AWS stands as a destination series for competitive drivers seeking elite-level racing combined with premium hospitality and professional organization”

The 2026 campaign opens at Sonoma Raceway before visiting an elite roster of North American circuits, including Circuit of the Americas, Sebring International Raceway, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Road America, and Barber Motorsports

Park, before concluding the season at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The 2025 season delivered a compelling championship fight, with Justin Rothberg ultimately claiming the title after narrowly missing out the year before by a single point. An intense battle with Kyle Washington defined the opening half of the season, but Rothberg’s consistency and momentum in the latter stages allowed him to break clear and secure the long-awaited championship crown.

INSIDE THE GT BUSINESS FORUM: WHERE RACING AND BUSINESS CONNECT

The GT Business Forum has quickly become one of the most impactful initiatives within the SRO Motorsports America paddock. Introduced in 2024, the program was created to unite the passion of motorsports with real-world business opportunity by offering a professional setting where meaningful connections are made alongside world-class GT racing.

Designed as a platform for collaboration and strategic growth, the GT Business Forum brings together leaders from across the motorsports ecosystem and the corporate world, fostering relationships that extend well beyond the race weekend.

The GT Business Forum welcomes a diverse mix of participants, including team owners, manufacturers, sponsors, suppliers, and partners, as well as executives and innovators from industries such as technology, finance, logistics, hospitality, and education. This unique cross-industry environment creates op -

portunities for conversations that might not happen elsewhere by connecting motorsports decision-makers with forward-thinking leaders who share a passion for performance, innovation, and competition.

More than a traditional networking event, the GT Business Forum is built around curated interactions designed to generate tangible outcomes. From strategic partnerships and sponsorship discussions to technology collaboration and brand development, the Forum encourages conversations that translate into long-term business impact.

SRO America has already fostered successful relationships with organizations such as AWS, Endava, Google, the University of Texas, VBrick, and WWEX, highlighting the depth of expertise and opportunity within the paddock.

GT Business Forums are held at select SRO America race weekends throughout the season, allowing participants to engage in high-level discussions while immersed in the energy of live competition. Each Forum features a blend of guided conversations, informal networking sessions, and brand showcases, creating a relaxed yet purposeful atmosphere where ideas can be shared and partnerships can take shape.

At its core, the GT Business Forum exists to bridge the gap between motorsports and business. By connecting entrepreneurs, executives, and innovators through a shared interest in racing, the program provides a space for knowledge exchange and fresh perspectives, all

rooted in the same principles that define success on track: precision, teamwork, and execution.

As GT World Challenge America powered by AWS and the broader SRO America platform continue to grow in 2026, the GT Business Forum remains a cornerstone of that evolution. The initiative reflects SRO’s commitment to building a sustainable ecosystem where competition fuels collaboration and relationships forged at the track continue to drive success long after the checkered flag falls and the season comes to a close.

CHAMPIONSHIPDRIVEN

As we celebrate 125 years since our first race win, we’re entering our most vibrant racing era yet, bringing our road and race car teams closer than ever, re-emphasizing our core mission and racing heritage to reflect our competitive roots.

We’re pushing ever harder to incorporate the learnings from the race track into our road cars (and vice versa).

PIRELLI GT4 AMERICA

Pirelli GT4 America has established itself as one of North America’s most compelling and competitive sports car championships. Now entering its seventh season, the series continues to build on sustained growth that has attracted a wide range of manufacturers, teams, and driver talent. Heading into 2026, the championship remains a cornerstone of SRO America, delivering tightly contested multi-class racing with consistently full grids and a level of competition that sets the benchmark for GT4 racing worldwide.

Few series offer the depth and diversity found in Pirelli GT4 America. The championship consistently draws strong interest from teams and drivers ranging from rising stars to experienced professionals, all competing within a platform designed to emphasize racecraft, execution, and consistency. This combination has positioned the series as both a premier professional championship and a proving ground for the next generation of GT competitors.

The series maintains its signature race format, featuring two 60-minute races at each event weekend, although now including only one streamlined qualifying session. Teams are composed of two drivers who share driving duties, with mandatory mid-race pit stops and driver changes introducing a key strategic component. Driver pairings are organized into three classes based on FIA driver ratings: Silver, PRO-AM, and AM. The Silver class highlights emerging professionals and

elite amateurs, PRO-AM blends professional and amateur pairings, and the AM class is reserved exclusively for amateur competitors.

Class distinctions are clearly identified on track through color-coded number panels located on the side, hood, and rear bumper of each car. Silver class entries feature silver number panels, PRO-AM entries use black, and AM entries are marked in red, allowing fans to easily follow the multi-class battles throughout each race.

JUNAID FAMILY FOUNDATION

Our Mission: Change communities for the better with the aim of forever

The Junaid Family Foundation empowers vulnerable populations, especially women, adolescents, and children, to achieve economic stability, break cycles of generational poverty, and build lasting prosperity.

Our Approach: Scaling evidence-based, sustainable programs to drive impact

JFF funded programs are designed and supported to ensure impact goals are met, whether that means delivering healthy food to vulnerable populations across town or planning the shipment and distribution of millions of prenatal vitamins halfway across the world and into the hands of pregnant women.

Support only counts when it works.

RACING FOR

At the heart of the championship is the globally recognized GT4 platform, known for its accessibility and manufacturer support. Customer-focused and factory-backed programs make participation both competitive and sustainable, contributing to the consistently strong car counts and evolving storylines that define the series. At the heart of it all is the GT4 Manufacturer Ranking, a global championship in which the top two scoring entries from each eligible manufacturer contribute towards overall standings, connecting all corners of the globe.

The grid features an impressive lineup of manufacturers, including Aston Martin, BMW, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Toyota, and now Ford, among others. With a mix of drivetrains, chassis philosophies, and aerodynamic approaches competing under a balanced global rule set, races are decided by precision, teamwork, and strategy rather than outright technical advantage.

While sprint racing defines the championship, the calendar’s centerpiece is the Lone Star Enduro at Circuit of The Americas. Returning for its third edition in 2026, the three-hour event stands as a fan-favorite. The extended race distance adds strategic depth and complexity, pro-

The 2025 season delivered dramatic championship battles across all three classes, with titles ultimately decided in the final rounds at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Random Vandals Racing captured both the Silver and PRO-AM championships, while BimmerWorld secured its third AM class title in the past four seasons, further underscoring the competitiveness across the field.

TC AMERICA POWERED BY SKIP BARBER RACING SCHOOL

TC America continues to stand as a foundational pillar of professional touring car competition in North America, entering the 2026 season with renewed momentum and an increasingly competitive field. As a proven development platform, the championship plays a vital role in shaping the next generation of racing talent, with many graduates going on to achieve success throughout the broader SRO America ladder.

Deeply rooted in the heritage of touring car racing, the series reflects a tradition that dates back to the mid-20th century, when manufacturers first adapted production-based vehicles for competitive motorsport. That same philosophy remains alive today, forming a direct lineage to modern touring car and GT racing. TC America’s modern-era history traces back through the Speedvision World Challenge, Speed World Challenge, and Pirelli World Challenge banners before becoming part of the SRO Motorsports Group, carrying decades of competitive legacy forward.

Teams continue to rely on TC America as a primary proving ground for emerging

drivers and up-and-coming talents. The championship showcases a compelling mix of manufacturer-supported machinery, with active participation over the years from the likes of Acura, BMW, Hyundai, Mazda, and Toyota, all of which provide

“Teams continue to rely on TC America as a primary proving ground for emerging drivers and up-andcoming talents”

strong technical backing to teams and competitors. With tightly matched performance and diverse circuits across the calendar, success in TC America demands precision, adaptability, and consistency from drivers and crews.

The 2025 season saw multi-time champion Jeff Ricca once again assert his dominance, securing the drivers’ title with races to spare while also helping Ricca Autosport and Hyundai capture the Team and Manufacturer championships. Despite the commanding performance, the latter half of the season featured a spirited challenge from Jonathan Neudorf, JMF Motorsports, and Toyota, underscoring the depth of competition throughout the field.

For 2026, TC America returns to a doubleheader race format designed to elevate the on-track spectacle and maximize track time. Each event weekend will feature two 35-minute sprint races, delivering more opportunities for close competition. The championship will also continue with its single-class structure introduced in 2025, offering a more streamlined and cost-effective platform while sharpening the competitive focus among a diverse range of performance brands.

This unified class format echoes the championship’s historic roots, harkening back to the classic World Challenge era. The structure has long been synonymous with close, wheel-to-wheel racing, where

driver skill, racecraft, and consistency remain the ultimate differentiators.

HOW SRO AND AWS ARE POWERING THE FUTURE OF GT RACING

Since 2019, SRO Motorsports Group and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have built one of the most influential technology partnerships in the global motorsports landscape. What began as a collaboration rooted in data and innovation has grown into a cornerstone of SRO’s worldwide GT racing platform, with AWS now firmly embedded across series operations, competition management, and the fan experience entering the 2026 season.

As SRO’s Official Global Technology Provider and Presenting Partner, AWS continues to support championships across GT World Challenge powered by AWS in America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, while also serving as the presenting partner

for GT America powered by AWS. The relationship reflects a shared vision: using advanced cloud technology to elevate performance, improve sustainability, and connect fans more deeply to the sport.

AWS plays a critical role behind the scenes of every SRO race weekend. Through cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced data analytics, AWS supports the collection and processing of enormous volumes of real-time information. This includes car telemetry, driver inputs, sector performance, and environmental data gathered via sensors positioned throughout each circuit.

By centralizing this information within AWS’s cloud computing infrastructure,

SRO can deliver faster, more informed decision-making across race control, event operations, and sporting management. The result is improved efficiency, enhanced safety, and a consistently high standard of competition across every series and continent.

One of the most important applications of AWS technology lies in the ongoing refinement and improvement of Balance of Performance (BoP). As modern GT racing becomes increasingly complex, accurate and transparent data handling is essential. AWS provides the secure data hosting and analytical tools required to support BoP evaluations, helping ensure that competition remains close, fair, and technically sound. This data-driven

“By centralizing this information within AWS’s cloud computing infrastructure, SRO can deliver faster, more informed decision-making across race control, event operations, and sporting management”

approach allows SRO to manage a diverse range of manufacturers and car platforms while preserving the level playing field that defines GT racing worldwide.

AWS technology also transforms how the fans are able to experience and immerse themselves in SRO events. Through AWS-powered broadcast and content delivery solutions, races are streamed globally in high definition with minimal latency. This ensures fans around the world can follow every moment of the action, whether they are tuning in at home or enjoying the views trackside.

RaceVision Powered by AWS continues to enhance broadcasts with real-time insights such as speed traces, performance comparisons, and technical overlays,

providing a deeper understanding of what’s happening on track. These tools help bridge the gap between fans and the complex world of GT racing, making every race more exciting while also being accessible.

Beyond the track, AWS remains central to SRO’s digital racing and esports initiatives. Cloud-based virtual machines and media services support online race servers, competitive platforms, and live broadcasts, delivering professional-grade reliability and scalability for sim racing competitions and special events. This integration ensures that SRO’s esports ecosystem continues to grow alongside its on-track championships, connecting new audiences to GT racing through digital platforms.

As the partnership enters 2026, AWS’s presence within SRO continues to expand across multiple championships, reinforcing its role not only as a technology partner, but as a strategic collaborator shaping the future of GT racing. From GT World Challenge powered by AWS to GT America powered by AWS and beyond, the relationship reflects a long-term commitment to innovation, performance, and sustainability.

Together, SRO Motorsports Group and AWS are redefining what is possible in modern motorsport by using data, cloud technology, and advanced analytics to deliver smarter racing, deeper engagement, and a truly global GT racing experience.

GR CUP RETURNS TO THE TRACK WITH SRO MOTORSPORTS AMERICA IN 2026

The Toyota Gazoo Racing North America (TGRNA) GR Cup Series returns in 2026 for another season of competition under the SRO Motorsports America banner. As part of Toyota’s motorsports ladder, the GR Cup delivers close, driver-focused racing while showcasing the performance of Toyota’s GR lineup.

Backed by more than 30 years of GT racing experience, SRO Motorsports America provides the platform for the GR Cup’s 14-race schedule across seven premier circuits in the United States. Each event delivers competitive racing while also serving as a real-world proving ground, generating insights that influence the development of Toyota’s road performance vehicles.

The GR Cup is a single-make racing series where every driver competes in

identical, homologated machinery. With the playing field leveled, race results are determined by driver skill, race craft, consistency, and team execution. The GR86 Cup remains the official vehicle of the GR Cup Series.

Beginning as a production GR86, each car is transformed into a GR86 Cup Car at Toyota Gazoo Racing North America’s GR Garage in Mooresville, North Carolina. Built for performance and safety, the GR86 Cup Car features Bosch engine management, a Borla exhaust, a SADEV six-speed sequential transmission, Alcon brakes, JRi adjustable shocks, and OMP safety equipment. Additional race-ready components include a reinforced roll cage, carbon-fiber rear wing, 22-gallon fuel cell, a TGRNA-designed MacPherson strut, Stratasys bodywork, and a TGRNA-engineered splitter.

“the GR Cup delivers a full fan experience at SRO events, featuring GR merchandise, interactive displays, and premium hospitality”

The GR Cup continues to offer a $1 million purse and prize package in 2026. Prize money is awarded to the top eight finishers in each race, with race winners earning up to $12,000 and the season champion receiving $30,000. This payout structure is supported by dedicated series partners including Mobil 1, Continental, Endava, Segra, Worldwide Express, Yahoo, Racing Spirit, JBL, OMP, Stratasys, and PTC.

The WWEX Group Legends Cup returns to the GR Cup Series in 2026, providing a competitive platform for experienced drivers aged 40 and older. Competing within the 45-minute GR Cup races at select events, Legends Cup competitors race for class-specific podium honors. The 10-race championship will visit the Grand Prix of Arlington, Sonoma Raceway, Circuit of the Americas, Road America, and Barber Motorsports Park, with the top three Legends finishers recognized at each event. The driver earning the most cumulative points across all Legends Cup events will be crowned the 2026 WWEX Group Legends Cup Champion.

Beyond the on-track action, the GR Cup delivers a full fan experience at SRO events, featuring GR merchandise, interactive displays, and premium hospitality. Fans can engage with the paddock, explore car culture, and experience Toyota performance up close.

New for 2026, the GR Cup Series heads to Texas for the inaugural Grand Prix of Arlington, joining INDYCAR for a marquee weekend of racing in the Lone Star State. The 2026 season also introduces Road Atlanta as a new addition, alongside some of North America’s most iconic circuits including Sonoma Raceway, Circuit of the Americas, Road America, Barber Motorsports Park, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. All races will be streamed live on SRO America’s GT World YouTube channel.

MCLAREN TROPHY AMERICA RETURNS, BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER

McLaren Trophy America is back for its sophomore year after a strong debut in 2025. With ten races held over five weekends, the series quickly established itself as the home of close, exciting racing as the drivers pitted their wits against each other in the beautiful 585PS McLaren Artura Trophy EVO cars.

All three drivers’ titles went down to the wire last year, being settled at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Chances are that things will go the same way this season. The championship is set to build on its strong beginning with an even bigger grid as teams and drivers complete over the three classes of Am, Pro-Am, and Pro for glory. The categories are decided by FIA driver rankings, with Silver rated drivers being

classified as Pros and Bronze as Amateur racers. With three classes, it ensures exciting racing throughout the field over the two 50-minute races each weekend.

2025 Am class winner James Sofronas will be back, but only in a team owner capacity as he runs a multi-car GMG Racing entry this time around. Orlando Motorsport Services will also run an expanded line up in 2026 with a four-car squad, proving the expanded interest in the series.

The Pro-Am class was fiercely fought last season and Flying Lizards, one of the stalwart American GT racing teams, was front and center. They will be back and hungry for more success this year, but they will not have it all their own way. Forte Racing and a host of others will be aiming for the same, so we can expect close battles throughout the season. 2025 Pro class champions RaceWerkz are also set to return with, you guessed it, an expanded line up. It really is shaping up to be a spectacular year of racing.

It was not just at the race track that McLaren Trophy America proved to be a hit, where 111,406 spectators enjoyed the action. Over 161,000 people watched the live streams carried on the McLaren Automotive YouTube channel, and those numbers are only set to grow as the championship becomes more established.

The McLaren Trophy platform is also now an intrinsic part of McLaren Motorsports’ factory driver program, allowing drivers to move up the ranks and providing a clear career path to professional driver status. 2023 McLaren Trophy Europe champion Tommy Pintos is testament to that, having joined the factory driver program in 2024. He is joined by last year’s European Pro class champion Jayden Kelly, who alongside Tommy, was

“The McLaren Trophy platform is also now an intrinsic part of McLaren Motorsports’ factory driver program, allowing drivers to move up the ranks and providing a clear career path to professional driver status”

announced as a GT3 Junior driver in early January. Knowing that they can become part of the storied history of the only racing team to have won the triple crown of the Indy 500, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the Monaco Grand Prix, is a big draw to any aspiring professional racing driver.

The season will commence at Northern California’s Sonoma Raceway March 28 –30 before heading to Miami for what will be the headline event of the year as a major support race to the Grand Prix on May 1 – 3. A new venue for the championship will host rounds five and six as the Mclaren Trophy America field takes on the challeng-

es of Road Atlanta on June 11 - 14. The grid will return to familiar territory to end the year with a trip to Road America August 28 – 30, before concluding in The Racing Capital of The World at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on October 16 – 19.

2026 VENUES

The 2026 SRO Motorsports America calendar continues the organization’s tradition of delivering world-class GT racing across North America’s most iconic and demanding circuits. From sweeping natural road courses to modern motorsport landmarks, each venue presents a distinct challenge that puts drivers and teams to the ultimate test across all series of competition. The season launches on the West Coast at Sonoma Raceway before heading south to Circuit of The Americas in Texas, followed by the legendary concrete of Sebring International Raceway in Florida. A return to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta after a more than decade-long hiatus keeps the momentum building before the championship battles intensify at Road America and Barber Motorsports Park. The campaign reaches its pinnacle at the Racing Capital of the World, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where champions will ultimately be crowned on one of motorsport’s most storied stages.

THE HYUNDAI N TROPHY CUP

The launch of the Hyundai N Trophy Cup in 2025 ushered in an exciting new chapter for touring car racing in North America. Designed as a series-within-a-series inside TC America, the championship spotlighted Hyundai’s growing global motorsports presence while adding another layer of intensity to race weekends across the SRO America calendar.

Debuting with a doubleheader at Circuit of the Americas, the Hyundai N Trophy Cup immediately established itself as a competitive force. The inaugural season featured four key events, including stops at Sebring International Raceway, Barber Motorsports Park, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Across doubleheader and tripleheader formats, Hyundai drivers not only battled for overall TC America results, but also for the honor of finishing as the top Hyundai competitor in each round.

The result was a tightly contested championship that showcased the depth of Hyundai’s touring car lineup. Fans saw a mix of full-season contenders and rotating entrants bring high-stakes battles to every event, with brand pride and championship bonuses on the line.

At the conclusion of the campaign, Connor Attrell of Ricca Autosport claimed the first-ever Hyundai N Trophy Cup title behind the wheel of the Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO. This also granted him a unique global opportunity: an invitation to compete in the final round of the Hyundai N Festival

in South Korea, representing North America against regional Hyundai champions from around the world.

Hyundai’s commitment to developing talent extended beyond race results. The introduction of the Hyundai N Racing Scholar program created a pathway to recognize rising stars based not only on performance, but also professionalism and leadership within the paddock. In 2025, the scholarship was awarded to CJ Sepulveda, marking a major milestone in his young career. As part of the award, Sepulveda earned the opportunity to compete in the legendary Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2026, a significant step onto the international endurance racing stage.

Support for teams and drivers comes in the form of a comprehensive contingency program throughout the season. Hyundai competitors in TC America compete for race-by-race payouts, while the Hyundai N Trophy Cup provides additional financial rewards for the top-finishing Hyundai entries at each designated round. Endof-season bonuses further underscore Hyundai’s investment in the category,

“The introduction of the Hyundai N Racing Scholar program created a pathway to recognize rising stars based not only on performance, but also professionalism and leadership within the paddock”

including a Manufacturer Championship award and championship prize earnings.

In just its first season, the Hyundai N Trophy Cup delivered exactly what it set out to achieve: close competition, meaningful incentives, and a direct connection to Hyundai’s international racing ladder. As TC America continues to grow in 2026, the Hyundai N Trophy Cup will expand along with it by offering drivers not just trophies and prize money, but a potential pathway to compete on the global stage.

CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF THE GT3 ERA

It has now been 20 years since the introduction of GT3, a category that has grown into the most successful and influential form of GT racing in the world. First unveiled in December 2005, GT3 fundamentally reshaped sports car racing by prioritizing cost control, manufacturer diversity, and competitive balance, all of which are core principles that continue to define the category today.

GT3 was created as a long-term solution to rising costs and competitive imbalance in GT racing during the early 2000s. While GT racing itself was thriving, escalating budgets and increasing professionalization threatened accessibility and manufacturer variety.

The solution was a category based on production-derived cars, designed to be cost-effective and welcoming to amateur and semi-professional drivers, while still delivering high-performance racing. GT3 would run as a standalone championship and rely on existing road-car architectures rather than bespoke race cars, dramatically lowering development and operating costs.

At the center of GT3’s lasting success is Balance of Performance (BoP), a concept that allows cars with vastly different engine layouts, drivetrains, and aerodynamic philosophies to compete on equal footing. BoP enabled front, mid, and rear-engined cars to race together competitively, and this approach opened the door for a wide variety of manufacturers to enter international GT racing and remains the foundation of modern GT competition across multiple categories.

“GT3 would run as a standalone championship and rely on existing road-car architectures rather than bespoke race cars, dramatically lowering development and operating costs”

The inaugural FIA GT3 European Championship debuted in 2006 with a diverse field that included Ascari, Aston Martin, Corvette, Dodge, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Porsche. Extensive pre-season testing ensured competitive parity, setting the tone for what would become a defining hallmark of GT3 racing: close competition regardless of the brand of choice.

What began as a European championship has evolved into a global ecosystem spanning multiple continents and championships. Today, GT3 machinery competes across SRO-sanctioned series and beyond, including the GT World Challenge series (America, Europe, Asia, Australia) and the marquee CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa event, which now regularly attracts over 70 entries on the grid each year.

While modern GT3 racing features many of the world’s top professional drivers, the category remains deeply connected to its founding philosophy of accessibility. Amateur and semi-professional drivers continue to form a vital part of the GT3 landscape, racing alongside established stars in multiclass and Pro-Am formats. This blend of competition levels, combined with factory-backed and customer racing programs, has been key to GT3’s longevity and growing popularity.

To commemorate the 20-year milestone, SRO will celebrate GT3’s history throughout the 2026 season. Initiatives include the launch of the GT3 Revival Series in partnership with Peter Auto, featuring cars from the category’s early

years, and special anniversary elements surrounding the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, including a GT3 Legends race. The coexistence of historic GT3 competition alongside contemporary championship racing underscores the category’s enduring relevance and technical philosophy.

Two decades after its introduction, GT3 remains the global standard for GT

racing. Its emphasis on balance, diversity, and accessibility has influenced virtually every modern GT category and continues to shape the future of sports car racing. From national championships to the world’s biggest GT racing events, the GT3 era is not just being remembered in 2026, it is still very much being written..

program, the Academy will identify and reward standout Silver-graded drivers from across multiple championships, offering a pathway to one of the most prestigious events in world motorsport: the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

For its inaugural global season, the SRO GT Academy will select four drivers in total, one from British GT and each of the continental GT World Challenge powered by AWS championships in America, Asia, and Australia. These four drivers will earn a fully funded Silver Cup entry at the 2027 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, competing together as part of a professionally run team. The opportunity places emerging talent on the world stage at the biggest GT race on the planet, providing invaluable experience and exposure at the absolute highest level of competition.

Eligibility for the SRO GT Academy is limited to drivers under the age of 30 as of December 31st, 2026, who hold an FIA Silver driver classification for the calendar season. Unlike traditional talent searches that rely heavily on race results, the Academy utilizes a detailed assessment-based evaluation system designed to isolate individual performance and potential. This approach removes variables such as codriver influence, mechanical reliability,

“the Academy utilizes a detailed assessmentbased evaluation system designed to isolate individual performance and potential”

and race incidents that fall outside the control of the driver.

Instead, candidates are evaluated on a comprehensive set of performance metrics, including qualifying speed, average stint pace, consistency, and overall racecraft. Off-track professionalism and conduct are also factored into the scoring, while penalties are applied for unforced errors and unsportsmanlike behavior. This methodology ensures that Silver drivers competing in different classes and formats can be as -

sessed on equal footing, reinforcing the Academy’s methodology.

Building on that foundation, the Academy will also expand into GT2 Europe in 2026. The prize for that competition is a seat with a Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing Team in the following season’s GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. This initiative is supported by Maserati, Ginetta, Pirelli, and Mercedes-AMG, further reinforcing the Academy’s role as a bridge between emerging talent and elite-level GT competition.

As a result, the GT2 Europe graduate and the four pan-continental Academy winners will ultimately converge at the 2027 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, forming a unique lineup of the world’s most promising young GT drivers.

With its global reach, objective evaluation system, and unparalleled prize, the SRO GT Academy represents a bold new chapter in driver development, one that reinforces SRO’s role as a leader in shaping the future of GT racing worldwide for generations to come.

MULTI-VIEWER POWERED BY VBRICK AND GPX STREAM

For fans looking to immerse themselves in the action in an innovative way tailored to their very own preferences, the Vbrick multi-viewer platform offers a completely customizable method of watching GT World Challenge America powered by AWS. Gone are the days of passive viewership, now audiences can actively control their race-day experience, choosing exactly what they want to see and when.

The multi-viewer system allows fans to switch seamlessly between multiple live onboard camera feeds, follow specific cars or drivers, and keep an eye on the live leaderboard in real time. The main race broadcast runs alongside these feeds, and Twitch chat is integrated so people can interact with other fans and follow the conversation as the race unfolds. This cockpit-level perspective gives an unprecedented look at what drivers experience on track, bridging the gap for those who want to get an idea of what really goes on behind the wheel.

SRO America launched this platform in partnership with Vbrick and GPX Stream in 2025, building on a shared commitment to innovation and fan engagement. GPX Stream delivers each onboard feed using a cellular-based live camera system powered by Sony’s Portable Data Transmitter (PDT-FP1). This advanced technology ensures seamless, high-quality streaming, even under the challenging conditions of professional GT racing. Fans can experience the raw sights and sounds of the cars as if they were strapped into the car themselves, without losing any of the detail from the main broadcast.

“The multi-viewer system allows fans to switch seamlessly between multiple live onboard camera feeds, follow specific cars or drivers, and keep an eye on the live leaderboard in real time”

The multi-viewer is powered by AWS cloud infrastructure, enabling robust data management and smooth video delivery for fans worldwide. By combining GPX Stream’s mobile system, Sony’s reliable transmission hardware, Vbrick’s enterprise-grade streaming platform, and AWS’s cloud technology, SRO America has created a next-level viewing experience. It is designed not just to deliver live video, but to enhance every aspect of following the race, from driver telemetry and lap times, to strategy, to racecraft, and beyond.

This platform represents a broader commitment to evolving the way fans engage with motorsports. Instead of a single linear broadcast, the multi-viewer offers multiple ways to experience the same event, whether you want to track a single championship contender, compare two rival teams, or watch several cars battle throughout the field simultaneously. It’s an interactive experience that puts the viewer in control and brings the excitement of GT racing closer than ever before.

The Vbrick multi-viewer is available for all broadcast sessions of GT World Challenge America and can be accessed through the official SRO America website. This platform allows you to experience the strategy, speed, and drama of every lap on your own terms, like a choose-your-own-adventure. With multiple camera angles, live data feeds, and social interaction integrated into one seamless system, the multi-viewer is a game-changer for following North America’s premier GT championship.
