Hello PCI Team, LETTER FROM THE CEO

Happy New Year and I hope the start of 2026 finds you healthy and happy. The year ahead will have its challenges, but I am confident it will also bring opportunities for growth, impact, and continued excellence.

At our November All-Hands meeting, we promised open and honest communication with you. We talked about where we are and where we need to go as an organization. Those conversations set the tone for how we move forward this year. We committed to holding ourselves accountable – individually and collectively – and to being more transparent and direct with one another so we can address issues quickly and work more effectively as a team.

We reinforced the importance of strengthening our business by diversifying our projects and clients, continuing to invest in the tools, technology, and training you need to do your best work, and empowering leaders to delegate and trust their teams. Strong inter-departmental communication and engagement will remain a priority in 2026, because the best results happen when we operate as one connected organization rather than in isolation.

I want to emphasize something we can all take pride in: our established brand and strong reputation. At the PEPS Conference in October, this was reinforced by multiple firms who spoke to the respect and credibility our team carries across the industry. We have an exceptional team, dedicated leaders, and a culture rooted in our Core Values. As we move into the year ahead, I encourage everyone to look for ways to work smarter – finding efficiencies, being mindful of costs, minimizing waste, and maintaining a strong sense of urgency in everything we do. I also encourage you to be innovative in addressing these goals. 2026 will not be without its demands, but it is a year I truly believe is manageable and full of promise. With the talent, commitment, and teamwork we have across PCI, I know we can meet the challenges ahead and continue to excel.

Reminder: We revisited our PTO policies and disability benefits to ensure they continue to support your well-being. If you have questions, please reach out to HR. They are always happy to help. Just as important, I want to remind each of you to take care of yourselves. Your health, balance, and resilience matter, not only to you, but to the strength of our entire organization.

Thank you for the commitment, resilience, and professionalism you continue to bring to PCI. I look forward to what we will accomplish together in the year ahead.

Thank you all for always being on hand and so quick to help out with proposal printing and delivery. Things often move quickly with minimal lead time, but you all are always so flexible with our team and ready to take those packages out across the state to deliver in person for us at a moment’s notice. We appreciate all you do, whether it’s to help us with printing, packaging, and/or delivery!

I wanted to give a shoutout to Andrew Garcia for providing me with valuable hands-on experience on the projects he’s leading. Recently, we worked together on several aspects of roadway design, including drainage, 3D modeling, and traffic control plans (TCP). It’s been great to gain exposure to the different disciplines that work together to complete a project. Thanks again to Andrew for consistently providing new tasks that support my learning and growth, and for taking the time to explain processes and help me understand the bigger picture.

Huge congratulations to our Engineering Department for the successful completion of the FM 624 project. This effort began in the Schematic and Environmental phase, including efforts in Environmental Survey and Public Involvement, and transitioned seamlessly into PS&E. Special recognition to Bill for serving as Roadway and TCP Team Lead, Rob for Retaining Wall design, and Kristina for SWPPP, with support from the entire Engineering team. PCI served as the lead for Roadway, Retaining Walls, Traffic Control Plans, and SWPPP on this $40M construction project, which included over 500 plan sheets. The project was successfully let and awarded to JE Construction after receiving four bids. Our engineer’s estimate came in at $36M, with the winning bid awarded at $30.8M. That’s a 14% savings to our client and a strong example of teamwork, quality design, and value-driven delivery.

Current Industry Trends

Retirement and Time Off

• 401(k) Retirement Plan

• Paid Time-Off and Holidays

Across the country, employers and insurance carriers are facing similar challenges moving into 2026:

Rising Healthcare Costs - Carriers continue to experience higher medical and pharmacy claims, driving premium increases across most industries.

Increased Utilization of Medical Services - Post-pandemic, more people are scheduling procedures that were previously delayed, contributing to higher claim activity.

Prescription Drug Costs Increases - Specialty medications and new drug developments remain a significant cost driver nationwide.

Employer Adjustments - Companies are reassessing plan designs, reviewing carrier options, or adjusting premium contributions to manage rising costs.

What This Means for PCI

While the industry continues to experience cost increases, PCI remains committed to:

• Offering competitive benefits

• Minimizing the impact of rising costs on employees when possible

• Evaluating options annually to ensure we continue providing strong, stable plans

Looking Ahead

We will continue to share updates on any changes, improvements, or enhancements to our benefits package as they occur. Your health, well-being, and financial security remain a priority, and we are proud to provide benefits that reflect our ongoing commitment to our team. If you have any questions about your benefits, feel free to reach out to HR at any time.
