You’re Invited: Annual General Meeting
EQUS' Board of Directors, leadership team, and staff are looking forward to welcoming our members to the 2026 Annual General Meetings (AGMs) from April 16-18.
Back by popular demand, we will once again host our Billing & Rate Information Session prior to the meeting as a dedicated opportunity for members to better understand their power bill.
Guests in attendance will be entered to win one of three $500 credits towards your EQUS bill, as well as a $3,000 bill credit grand prize draw taking place in Lethbridge. Mark your calendars and keep an eye on the member portal for the latest AGM details!

A Message from our Board Chair: Glen Fox
Dear EQUS Members,
On behalf of the EQUS Board of Directors, I want to extend our sincere appreciation for your continued trust and support in the leadership of our power co-operative. Your dedication to the member-owned model enables us to deliver the quality service you’ve come to know and expect, and we continue to remain committed to delivering you value into the future.
Effective January 1, 2026, the Board has approved a modest increase to the Distribution Tariff revenue of an average of 2.1% across all rate classes. This increase is required to offset rising operational and maintenance costs, ensuring we can continue to provide safe, dependable service to our growing membership. We also anticipate additional rising costs in transmission expenses, which is a flow-through expense not determined or controlled by EQUS’ Board of Directors.
We understand that any change to rates has an impact, and I can assure you this decision was made with much consideration of both present conditions and longterm sustainability and system reliability. Even with this adjustment, EQUS members will continue to save when compared to the rates of our investor-owned competitor.
We appreciate your understanding as we navigate these challenging economic times together. Thank you once again for your ongoing trust and for being an essential part of EQUS.
