AAs the year draws to a close, I’ve found myself reflecting on what an extraordinary journey 2025 has been for all of us at Porsche Centre Willoughby.

If there’s one word that captures the spirit of these past months, it’s experience — from the adventures we’ve shared abroad to the milestones reached here at home.

Leading this issue, myself and eleven PCW clients ventured deep into Africa for the six-day Namibia Experience. It was a remarkable trip — vast desert landscapes, the roar of the 911 Dakars on sand, and an incredible camaraderie that made it so much more than a drive. For many, it was the kind of bucketlist experience that reminded us why Porsche ownership is about so much more than the cars — it’s about the people, the stories, and the shared passion that binds us. As many of you know, we were pioneers with the legendary Ice Experience, originally called Camp 4S and in Roveniemi, Finland, now of course in Levi. Having hosted 16 trips to the amazing Ice Force Experience, I was reticent to consider leaving minus 28 to plus 28 degrees! May I just say, after this first Dakar Experience, it was a total opposite to Finland. Please take time to read our article on page 6, undeniably one of the highlights of my 34 years with Porsche, give me a call should you wish to explore the benefits of visiting Namibia in a 911 Dakar.

An exciting global debut is the new Cayenne Electric — a technological milestone for Porsche as the iconic SUV enters the electric era. Two models lead the launch: the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric. Delivering up to 850 kW (1,156 PS), 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and exceptional charging performance of up to 400 kW#, it sets a new benchmark for performance SUVs. With up to 642 kilometres of WLTP range for the European delivered Cayenne Electric model (combined cycle) , the car is not only the most powerful production Porsche ever made, but also one of the most versatile — dynamic on the road, confident off-road, and remarkably comfortable over long distances. Yes, combustionengined and hybrid models will continue to run in parallel, offering a complete trio of powertrains.

So this season brings the launch of the new 992.2 911 Turbo S, the Macan GTS all-electric, and the Cayenne Electric. Each represents a different facet of the Porsche story, but all share

the same DNA: precision, purpose, and a forward focus on all fronts. We’ve also continued to celebrate the lighter side of Porsche life, including our recent Willoughby Golf Day at Killara Golf Club. It was another fantastic day — great weather, friendly competition, and plenty of smiles shared between clients, staff, and friends of the brand. Events like these remind me that our community is something truly special.

In this issue, we also introduce you to Jack Cowdroy, one of our Service Consultants, who many of you will recognise from the service lounge. Jack’s passion for Porsche and the automotive world, coupled with his commitment to our clients, makes him a valued part of the Willoughby team. I hope you enjoy getting to know him a little better through his staff profile.

And finally, an update on our Artarmon Service Centre. While progress has been slower than we’d hoped, it remains a key focus for us heading into the new year.

The project has evolved as we refine every detail to ensure it meets Porsche’s highest standards — from the Porsche Approved Service Centre (PASC) facilities to the integrated showroom and Porsche Platz Café. It’s still a work in progress, but I can assure you, we will be open for your servicing in Jan/ Feb. It will be worth the wait.

As we look ahead to 2026, I’d like to thank all our clients and friends for your continued support, enthusiasm, and trust.

Freedom in a New Dimension: Our Journey Through Namibia in the Porsche 911 Dakar

When we first read about the Porsche Travel Experience – Camp 911 Namibia, it sounded almost otherworldly: six days of wilderness in a Porsche 911 Dakar. “Freedom in a new dimension,” the brochure said — and it was exactly that. We didn’t just read it; we lived it. The vastness. The colours. The silence. Then the roar of a 911 Dakar breaking it.

We arrived in Namibia after a long flight via Johannesburg, landing at Walvis Bay International Airport — the gateway to a place that looked like another planet. The Porsche team met us with quiet precision, and even at the airport, the sense of organisation and care was clear. From the very beginning, it was seamless: transfers, luggage, briefings, even the smallest details taken care of.

Day 1 – Camp 911

The Moon Landscape

The adventure began at Camp 911, a tented camp built especially for this Porsche Travel Experience. You arrive and instantly feel transported. The Namib-Naukluft National Park stretches endlessly in every direction, a lunar desert of rolling sand and rock — and right in the middle of it, this glamping oasis: proper beds, showers, a Porsche Lounge with a terrace for sundowners, and a massage tent to unwind after travel.

That first night set the tone. We sat on the deck with Namibian canapés and watched the sun melt into the dunes. As the night deepened, the sky came alive — millions of stars, perfectly visible thanks to the lack of light pollution. You could almost hear the silence between constellations. It was the first of many moments that stopped us in our tracks.

Then came the Namib braai — a traditional barbecue — and our first real chance to connect with the group. There were sixteen of us in total, all Porsche enthusiasts, mostly from Australia, with twelve from the PCW group. Everyone was as excited as we were, and the group clicked instantly. One of the best parts was that we didn’t just share an itinerary; we shared an experience that bonded us deeply.

Day 2 – Desert Driving and Aerial Views

After breakfast and a thorough briefing from our instructors — led by Axel, whose calm authority immediately instilled confidence — we started our engines. Nothing compares to that first drive in the Dakar across the desert. The surface constantly changes beneath you: hard gravel, soft sand, rutted paths. Every few kilometres, the terrain throws something new at you.

We learned to trust the car — and ourselves. The Dakar is astonishing. It glides over terrain that would stop almost any other sports car. You feel the rally DNA coursing through it. We drove for hours, stopping to take in the otherworldly landscapes and the Welwitschia plants — ancient desert survivors that can live for over a thousand years.

Lunch was served at a remote oasis called Tinkas Plains. Imagine dining in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but horizon all around and a line of 911 Dakars parked nearby — surreal.

That afternoon, we swapped four wheels for wings, taking a panoramic flight in a small aircraft over the Namib Sand Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Seeing the dunes from above — wave after wave of ochre and gold — was breathtaking. That’s when the scale of Namibia really hit us. Back on the ground, we celebrated with sundowners and dinner by the ocean at The Tug Restaurant in Swakopmund before heading back to camp under the stars.

Day 3 – From the Beach to the Moon

The next morning brought something we never imagined we’d do: driving a Porsche on the beach. Under Axel’s expert guidance, we set off across endless stretches of sand along the Atlantic coast. The sensation of controlling a 911 Dakar at speed on sand — tyres lowered to 18 psi, throttle feathered to find traction — was unforgettable.

“You’re in the wrong gear,” came the calm voice over the radio. “Stay in third, keep the revs up.” It was exhilarating. Watching the convoy stretch out in front, a line of Porsches threading through the misty coastline, was cinematic.

Lunch that day was fresh seafood grilled right on the beach. Then we turned inland, heading for the Moon Landscape — a region so strange and rugged it’s been used as a film set for 2001: A Space Odyssey. The Dakar danced over the terrain — up dunes, across dry riverbeds, down steep slopes that made your stomach flip. At one point, the cars in front disappeared completely over a crest, swallowed by the sand, only to reappear moments later. It was thrilling, technical, and absolutely joyous.

That evening at camp, we laughed about our sandy mishaps — the moments we got bogged or had to be guided out by the instructors — and toasted the day under another dazzling sky.

Day 4 – The Great Crossing

Our last morning at Camp 911 began with a sense of excitement and a hint of sadness. We were about to leave the desert behind and journey north to Etosha National Park, driving nearly 500 kilometres on a mix of gravel, sand, and backroads.

That day’s drive was pure flow — hundreds of kilometres of empty terrain, villages appearing out of nowhere, waving children, distant mountains, and the changing colours of the earth as we moved north. You appreciate how immense Namibia is, and how small you are in it. The Dakar felt perfectly at home — confident, comfortable, solid.

By late afternoon, we reached the Etosha Oberland Lodge — an oasis of luxury in the bush. The terrace overlooked the plains, and as we sipped drinks by the pool, giraffes wandered in the distance. Dinner that night was a five-course masterpiece under the stars.

Day 5 – A Game Drive Like No Other

We were up before sunrise for a day in Etosha National Park, home to one of Africa’s greatest concentrations of wildlife. We had a choice: drive our own Porsche or join the guides in a safari vehicle. Naturally, we took the 911.

It was surreal — a line of Porsches creeping along dirt tracks while elephants and zebras grazed nearby. Through the radio, the guides fed us information about the animals and the land. The contrast between the high-tech cars and the raw wilderness was poetic. We saw giraffes, lions, rhinos, springboks, even tiny ground squirrels darting across the track.

That evening’s Bush Dinner took place near a waterhole, lit by lanterns. As we ate, animals approached quietly to drink — a zebra here, an oryx there. It was humbling, almost spiritual.

Day 6 – Farewell Namibia

The final morning was reflective. Breakfast at the lodge, one last gaze over the savannah. It’s hard to describe the feeling — satisfaction, awe, a little disbelief that it was all real.

Some of us took short bush walks; others lingered by the pool. In the early afternoon, a private charter flight lifted us from the lodge’s airstrip and carried us to Windhoek. As the landscape unrolled beneath the wings, we already knew we’d be back.

When

people ask what made it so special, it’s hard to separate the elements — the cars, the landscapes, the people, the precision of Porsche’s organisation. But perhaps it’s the combination that makes it unforgettable.

The 911 Dakar was a revelation. You trust it completely — in sand, on gravel, over rocks, through everything. And the instructors gave us the confidence to go further each day.

Then there was the camaraderie. Twelve like-minded people, all sharing something extraordinary. We laughed constantly, supported each other, and ended the week as close friends.

Graham: I’ve loved the 911 since I was seven years old. There’s the moment you know you want one, and there’s the moment you first own one — this trip brought both feelings flooding back. To drive it through Namibia, fifty years later, was the fulfilment of a lifelong dream and something I’ll never forget.

Marisa: It was about adventure, learning to trust the car and myself. Driving down the dunes, feeling the car settle and slide beneath me, was unlike anything I’ve ever done.

And together, it was simply magical. The sunsets, the endless landscapes, the laughter, the dust — all of it. The Porsche Travel Experience Camp 911 Namibia is more of an awakening than a driving trip. A reminder of why we love to explore, to drive, and to share the road with others who feel the same.

As we flew home, looking down at the ochre expanse of the desert, we thought about the words Porsche used to describe it: Freedom in a new dimension. They weren’t exaggerating.

Crowds filled the streets for the 2025 Festival of Mosman, where Porsche Centre Willoughby took centre stage as Diamond Sponsor — showcasing the future of electric mobility with the striking new Macan Electric and Taycan on display for locals to explore up close.

The 2025 Festival of Mosman once again brought colour and energy to Sydney’s lower north shore, running from 23 October to 2 November. As Diamond Sponsor, Porsche Centre Willoughby played a prominent role in the celebrations, proudly supporting this much-loved community event that draws thousands of locals to enjoy food, entertainment, and connection.

Held every two years, the Festival of Mosman has become one of the region’s most anticipated occasions — a weeklong series of events that highlight the spirit of the suburb. From the Mediterraneaninspired Dinner on the Green and the ceremonial HMAS Penguin Freedom of Entry Parade to family favourites such as the Street Party, Pet’s Day Out, and the open-air Halloween Cinema, the festival offered something for everyone.

Porsche Centre Willoughby took part in the bustling street market, where visitors had the rare opportunity to experience Porsche’s fully electric models up close. Both the new Macan Electric and the Taycan were on display, drawing continuous attention throughout the weekend. Festival-goers were invited to sit inside, explore the interiors, and interact with the latest in Porsche innovation — a true highlight for many attendees.

MACAN GTS

Porsche has electrified its most versatile SUV with the all-new Macan GTS, bringing the legendary GTS badge into the fully electric era. Combining rear-biased performance, razorsharp handling, and unmistakable styling, the Macan GTS promises the thrill of a sports car in an SUV package. Now available to configure and order in Australia.

The Macan GTS marks the fifth derivative in the Macan Electric range, bringing the renowned GTS badge—Gran Turismo Sport—into the fully electric era. These three letters have been synonymous with Porsche performance since the 1963 904 Carrera GTS, and the new Macan carries the tradition forward with a driver-focused, high-performance SUV that combines agility, acceleration, and precision engineering.

At the heart of the GTS is a rear-biased electric powertrain delivering 380 kW (516 PS), which rises to 420 kW (571 PS) with overboost power via Launch Control. Maximum torque reaches 955 Nm, propelling the SUV from 0–100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. For track enthusiasts, the Macan GTS reaches 200 km/h in 13.3 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h. The powertrain features the largest rear-axle electric motor in the Macan series, measuring 230 mm in diameter with an active length of 210 mm, paired with a high-efficiency 900-amp silicon carbide pulse inverter. The transmission, engineered with a 9.0:1 ratio, is specially designed to handle the enormous torque output of Porsche’s performance models.

The SUV’s performance is further enhanced by the standard Sport Chrono Package, which includes a Taycan-inspired track mode. This mode optimises battery cooling to minimise power loss caused by heat build-up, maintaining peak performance during sustained driving. Alongside Porsche Traction Management (ePTM), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), and an electronically controlled rear differential lock, the Macan GTS delivers exceptional handling and rear-biased agility, with a 48:52 weight distribution and the lowest centre of gravity in the model line. Sports air suspension, refined with GTS-specific tuning, provides a 10 mm lower ride height, model-specific damper and anti-roll bar adjustments, and

optional rear-axle steering to sharpen cornering precision.

The emotive character of the Macan GTS extends to its sound. Porsche Electric Sport Sound (PESS) offers two exclusive GTSspecific profiles in ‘Sport’ and ‘Sport Plus’ modes, giving the electric SUV a distinctive auditory presence that complements its performance.

Exterior Design: Black Accents and Sporty Styling

The Macan GTS is immediately recognisable thanks to its GTSspecific styling cues. Black accents dominate the exterior, including the front grille, side blades, wheel arch trims, adaptive rear spoiler lip, and a pronounced rear diffuser. Tinted Matrix LED headlights and taillights add to the aggressive, purposeful aesthetic. The SUV rides on standard 21-inch Macan Design alloy wheels in Anthracite Grey, with optional 22-inch RS Spyder wheels available for an even more commanding stance.

From early 2026, Porsche will introduce a Sport Design Package across the Macan line, with the GTS being the first to feature it as standard. Redesigned side skirts widen towards the rear, reinforcing the car’s athletic posture, while new front and rear aprons underline the vehicle’s dynamic character.

The new Macan GTS introduces three standout colours: Crayon, Carmine Red, and Lugano Blue—the latter making its debut on a Macan. These join 15 existing options in the Porsche Car Configurator, with nearly 60 additional shades available through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s Paint to Sample programme.

Interior: Sporty, Customisable, and Technology-Rich

Inside, the GTS ethos continues. Extended Race-Tex upholstery, combined with smooth leather, covers the 18-way adjustable Sports Seats, armrests, dashboard, and steering wheel. For the first time on the Macan Electric, the optional GTS Interior Package allows colour coordination with the exterior, offering decorative stitching, seat belts, and GTS branding in Carmine Red, Slate Grey Neo, or Lugano Blue. Carbon-fibre accents across the dashboard, steering wheel, and door panels add a technical, high-performance touch.

For the first time, the Macan Electric offers a GTS Interior Package that colourcoordinates stitching, seat belts, and digital displays with the exterior paint.

The digital cockpit mirrors the exterior colour in a 3D visualisation on the central display, while the instrument cluster displays the ‘GTS’ insignia. Functions from the Sport Chrono Package—including lap timing, telemetry, and sector analysis— can be accessed directly via the central display, reinforcing the SUV’s driver-focused character.

Driver Assistance, Comfort, and Connectivity

The Macan GTS benefits from the latest technology introduced across the Macan range. Standard features include Porsche Digital Key, adaptive cruise control, Lane Change Assist, Rear Assist, Surround View, and self-steering ParkAssist. Comfort features include a panoramic roof, four-zone climate control, side airbags in the rear compartment, BOSE Surround Sound, and digital radio. The SUV also accommodates a towing capacity of up to 2,500 kilograms.

The 100 kWh high-voltage battery supports fast charging from 10–80 per cent in just 21 minutes at suitable DC stations, with peak charging capacity of 270 kW, making the Macan GTS as practical as it is thrilling.

The interest rate is fixed for the life of your loan and there are no account keeping fees. How it works

Trade-in:

If you wish to trade-in your Porsche for a new vehicle, all you need to do is return it to your Official Porsche Centre. If the trade-in value is higher than the GFV^, you can use this equity towards your new Porsche.

Return:

All you need to do is hand your Porsche back and, if the vehicle meets the agreed kilometre and fair wear and tear requirements^, you will have no more to pay.

Retain:

If you prefer to retain your Porsche, simply let us know. Provided that you also meet the relevant payment obligations under your contract, you can purchase your vehicle outright for the GFV amount locked in at the start of the contract^. Then your vehicle is yours to keep. Or you can choose to refinance your balloon at the end of the term.

Maintaining your Porsche

Your Porsche is an investment in quality, so naturally you’ll want to maintain it accordingly. If you wish to return your Porsche at the end of your finance agreement, it must meet the criteria set out within the Fair Wear and Tear Guide. Your vehicle must also not exceed the pre-nominated kilometre limit (set by you, based on your anticipated usage at the beginning of your contract). From apprentice to Service Consultant, Jack Cowdroy has spent eight years with Porsche Centre Willoughby, turning his lifelong passion for cars into a career defined by precision, expertise, and genuine enthusiasm for the Porsche brand.

What is your role at PCW?

I’m currently a Service Consultant at Porsche Centre Willoughby.

How long have you been with PCW?

It’ll be eight years this coming January.

Tell us a little bit about your motoring background?

My passion for cars started young, working on small V8 projects with my dad. Straight after school, I began my mechanical apprenticeship at Porsche Willoughby, later becoming a qualified technician before stepping into my current role as a Service Advisor in 2023. Along the way, I also completed my studies to become a qualified auto electrician.

Outside of work, I’m hands-on with my own projects, I’m currently building an LH Torana with plans for an LSA engine conversion, as well as fitting a 1UZ from a Soarer into my 1992 Toyota 4Runner. I love proving to myself that with enough determination, anything is achievable. My dad definitely passed on the car bug, and I couldn’t think of a better place than Porsche Willoughby to keep that passion alive.

How did you find your way here?

Back in Year 11, I made the decision to pursue an apprenticeship after school. I had the grades to go to university, but my heart was set on cars. I told myself that if I could secure a position at a prestigious brand like Porsche, I’d follow that path, and if not, I’d study business at uni instead. Luckily, I was accepted by Porsche Willoughby, and I’ve never looked back. I still plan to study business one day, but I’m so glad I took the road that led me here.

What appealed to you about working with the Porsche brand?

The quality and precision of Porsche vehicles is second to none, but what truly stands out is the brand’s constant drive for improvement. That mindset really aligns with my own values, always striving to be better and to give customers the time and care they deserve. I’m proud to represent a sports car brand that not only builds exceptional machines but also creates emotion, excitement, and unforgettable experiences for every driver.

How have you found PCW compared to other luxury car brands you've worked for?

Porsche is the only brand I’ve ever worked for, and honestly, I don’t think it gets any better than this!

What has been your experience working with the PCW team?

The team at PCW is fantastic. We’ve got a diverse mix of personalities, and everyone brings their own approach to delivering the same goal, creating a genuinely personal and premium experience for our customers. Do you have a favourite model?

I’ve always been attracted to sporty performance vehicles, so I have to say our timeless 911. If I had to choose, it would be the understated elegance of a GT3 Touring with a manual gearbox. To me that is the perfect sports car!

Describe your perfect day at Porsche Centre Willoughby.

My perfect day starts with a coffee and a chat with my colleagues, setting the tone for the day. The highlight would be catching up with one of my sports car customers and hearing how the adjustments we made to their car have improved their lap times, handling, or overall confidence behind the wheel. I also love seeing how customers personalise their builds, every car is unique, and whether it’s their first or thirtieth service, the excitement never fades.

What has been a highlight during your time at PCW?

The biggest highlight has been the investment Porsche Willoughby, especially my managers, Justin and Sean, have made in my personal and professional growth. From starting as an apprentice to becoming a qualified Porsche Service Advisor and Brand Ambassador, it’s been an incredible journey filled with training, challenges, and opportunities to grow. That support has not only made me a better team member but also a better person outside of work.

Tell us about your life outside of PCW.

Outside of work, I’m lucky to have an amazing partner who constantly encourages me to be my best, and a dog named Zeus who never fails to make everyone smile. My family has always been incredibly supportive too. If I’m not at work, I’m usually working on an engine or trying to solve something that others can’t, I love a good challenge. Living near the beach has been a blessing; Jas and I spend a lot of time there, and when I get some time off, I love heading to Orange to visit my friends Charlie and Ben at their incredible winery, De Salis Wines.

Porsche’s Cayenne has long stood as a symbol of how performance and versatility can harmonise. From its debut in 2002, the Cayenne transformed the sports car maker’s reach — blending true Porsche DNA with the practicality of an SUV. Now, Porsche embarks on a new chapter: the introduction of the Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric, its first fully electric Cayenne models.

More than just electrification, these vehicles redefine what a high-performance SUV can be. Boasting up to 850 kW (1,156 PS), up to 1,500 Nm of torque, and a 0-100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds (for the Turbo), they deliver super-sports-car performance in an everyday, versatile package. But what’s equally impressive is how they couple that power with charging sophistication, long-range capability, off-road potential, and digital refinement.

For Australian drivers, the Cayenne Electric represents the very best of Porsche’s evolving vision: a vehicle rooted in motorsport-grade engineering and crafted for real-world use. With combustion and hybrid Cayenne models continuing alongside, Porsche emphasises choice — and with the arrival of the electric variants, the Cayenne line steps boldly into its future.

APERFORMANCE PERSONIFIED

At the heart of the Cayenne Electric family are two compelling models: the base Cayenne Electric and the flagship Cayenne Turbo Electric, each powered by all-wheel-drive and Porsche’s electronic Traction Management (ePTM). The Turbo Electric delivers the kind of acceleration usually reserved for supercars — launching you from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, and accelerating to 200 km/h in 7.4 seconds, with a top speed of 260 km/h. This extraordinary performance arises from a purpose-built electric drive system, including a rear-axle motor cooled via direct oil cooling — technology lifted from the world of motorsport to ensure sustained output under intensive use.

In its most potent mode, the Turbo generates a staggering 850 kW, while in regular driving conditions, it offers 630 kW. Further still, a Push-to-Pass function delivers an extra 130 kW (176 PS) for 10 seconds — a burst of power for overtaking or spirited driving.

While the base Cayenne Electric is more modest, it is no less precise or responsive. With 300 kW in standard mode (rising to 325 kW with Launch Control) and 835 Nm of torque, it hits 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and reaches a respectable top speed of 230 km/h when driven on a circuit.

Efficiency is built into every drive. The models achieve Formula E-level regenerative braking, recovering up to 600 kW when slowing down. In everyday driving, up to 97 per cent of braking can be handled purely via the electric motors; friction brakes intervene only when truly necessary. For the Turbo Electric, Porsche offers optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) for ultimate stopping power.

Chassis dynamics are equally advanced. Both models feature adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), delivering a nuanced balance of comfort and agility. On the Turbo, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and optional rear-axle steering enhance cornering precision and manoeuvrability. For the first time in a Cayenne, Porsche Active Ride is available — an active suspension system that counteracts body movements, offering exceptional stability even in dynamic driving scenarios.

The result: a fully electric Cayenne that feels just as alive and connected as its petrol predecessors, yet redefines performance for a new era.

Porsche AG expects that, from the second half of 2026, the wireless charging system will be available through Porsche Centres.

CHARGING, RANGE AND DESIGN REINVENTED

Power is critical, but so too is the ability to harness and replenish it. Underpinning both Cayenne Electric variants is a newly developed 113 kWh high-voltage battery, engineered with double-sided cooling to maintain thermal stability. For European-spec vehicles, this translates to a WLTP combined range of up to 642 km for the base Cayenne Electric, and up to 623 km for the Turbo Electric — truly competitive for a performance SUV.

The Cayenne Electric supports ultra-fast DC charging, thanks to its 800-volt architecture. Under the right conditions, it can draw up to 400 kW, and Porsche’s internal testing showed that the battery state of charge (SoC) can rise from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in less than 16 minutes. This means shorter downtime on road trips and greater flexibility for daily commuting.

Perhaps most striking is the availability of inductive wireless charging — up to 11 kW — as an option. The system uses a floor plate: simply park over it, and charging begins without any cables. While this feature may not be immediately available in Australia, all local vehicles will be pre-wired so the hardware can be retrofitted when Porsche launches it locally.

On the outside, the Cayenne Electric communicates its electric identity without losing its Porsche soul. Its silhouette retains the classic Cayenne proportions — the muscular wings, gently sloping flyline, low bonnet — but is refined by aerodynamic innovation. The front sports Matrix LED headlights in a slim, integrated module, and the doors are frameless. The side

profile is sculpted, with a strong crease and three-dimensional lower skirts. The Turbo Electric version is distinguished by Turbonite accents in high-gloss black — appearing on the wheels, window trims, and even the Porsche lettering.

Aerodynamics are key to both performance and efficiency: the Cayenne Electric boasts a drag coefficient of 0.25, placing it among the most streamlined SUVs. Porsche’s Active Aero system adapts in real time, adjusting cooling flaps, roof spoiler, and rear aero-blades (on the Turbo) to maximise flow and downforce. Complementing these are air curtains, a nearly sealed underbody, specialised aero wheels, and a diffuser — all combining to improve range and stability.

Interior space has also been reimagined. The wheelbase has grown to 3,023 mm (up nearly 13 cm), which increases rear legroom significantly. The rear seat system is now electrically adjustable, shifting between a comfort position and a cargo mode. Luggage capacity ranges from 781 to 1,588 litres, with an additional 90-litre front compartment for smaller items. Towing capability of up to 3.5 tonnes (depending on specification) ensures this remains a serious, utilitarian SUV.

The cabin is equally about comfort and personalisation. Porsche introduces Mood Modes, which adjust lighting, seating position, climate, sound profile, and display themes to match your mood. A panoramic roof with Variable Light Control uses liquid-crystal foil to change from transparent to opaque, while new panel heating warms not just the seats but larger contact surfaces like armrests and door panels. Ambient lighting, including a welcome “communication light” strip, visualises key vehicle states — such as charging — in a warm, animated glow.

Porsche offers expansive customisation options: 13 standard colours, nine wheel designs (20–22”), 12 interior combinations, and up to five packages for accents and interior style. For buyers seeking something truly bespoke, the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and Paint to Sample programmes, plus the Sonderwunsch bespoke-requests service, mean nearly unlimited opportunity for personal expression. There’s even a matching Porsche Swiss watch, tailored to correspond with the Cayenne’s design.

DIGITAL LUXURY & THE ROAD AHEAD

In the Cayenne Electric, Porsche rethinks how drivers interact with their car. The centrepiece is the Flow Display, a curved OLED screen that integrates into the centre console and cleanly divides information and control zones. It pairs with a 14.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an optional 14.9-inch passenger display, giving this SUV the largest total display area ever offered in a Porsche.

Augmented-reality technology is present via a head-up display that projects graphics as though they float on an 87-inch screen ten metres ahead of the vehicle. Despite the hyper-advanced screens, Porsche retains analogue controls for frequently used operations — climate, volume — ensuring that the interface remains intuitive and tactile.

Porsche’s Digital Interaction language brings a new dimension of personalisation. Widgets let you swiftly access favourite features, while the Themes app customises the visual layout and colour schemes across the displays. Through the Porsche App Centre, third-party apps integrate directly into the car for streaming, gaming, or productivity. Porsche even extends

its commitment to personalisation into mobile devices: the Voice Pilot, powered by AI, understands natural language and context, allowing complex, conversational commands to control navigation, settings, and more.

The Porsche Digital Key turns your smartphone or smartwatch into a secure, shareable key. Up to seven users can unlock and drive the same vehicle — ideal for families or those sharing their Cayenne across multiple drivers.

In Australia, Cayenne Electric models come with a strong standard specification: privacy glass, a tyre fit set, a Parking Entry Package (with Surround View and self-steering ParkAssist), digital radio, and a wide selection of no-cost exterior colours for the base model. The Turbo Electric includes four-zone climate control, seat ventilation, a panoramic roof, and 14-way comfort seats with memory. Local deliveries are anticipated from Q3 2026, with a starting price of A$167,800 for the Cayenne Electric and A$259,900 for the Turbo Electric (before on-road costs).

Porsche Centre Willoughby hosted its annual client golf day at the prestigious Killara Golf Club, where guests enjoyed a superb morning of golf and camaraderie on Sydney’s picturesque North Shore. PROJECT UPDATE Porsche Centre Willoughby Approved & Service, Artarmon

When I last visited the new Porsche Centre Willoughby Approved & Service facility in Artarmon, it was little more than a shell. The facade wasn’t yet in place, and the space still felt very much like a work in progress. Fast forward a few months, and the transformation is striking.

“The facade’s finished now,” Brent explains as we walk through the building. “Lighting still needs to go in around a few pockets, but otherwise it’s done. The showroom’s complete too — carpets go in tomorrow, and once that’s finished, we’ll start bringing in the Porscheplatz furniture.”

That furniture, Brent admits, is the one thing slightly behind schedule. “Everything’s coming from Germany, and that’s expected towards the end of the year. The kitchen will arrive first, and we’ll have temporary furniture in the meantime so the space can still be used.”

Outside, the gardens are complete, landscaping is due next week, and the driveways will be painted shortly after. Inside, the ground floor workshop is fully equipped — “all the hoists are in,” Brent notes — while level one is receiving its finishing touches. “Level one admin and amenities are done; the toilets are being tiled this week. Next week, they’ll start the epoxy flooring.”

PROJECT UPDATE

From a customer’s perspective, the layout has been designed with simplicity and experience in mind. “Customers will drive in, hand their keys to the concierge, and enter directly into the Porsche Platz area — that’s the showroom and café space,” Brent says. “They’ll be able to see a bit of the workshop through glass windows, but otherwise, that’s the extent of the customer-facing area.”

Behind the scenes, the facility’s scale is impressive. “There are about nine hoists on level one, and around twenty downstairs,” Brent adds. “There are 43 parking spaces on level three; we just finished marking those.”

The major construction phase wraps up at the end of this month, with December earmarked for smaller refinements as the team moves in.

Brent laughs when I mention the upcoming W magazine feature. “You’re not putting me in it, are you? I’m not the face of the project.” But as he continues to outline the details — the planning, the precision, and the sheer size of the operation — it’s clear that his role in bringing this world-class facility to life is significant.

By early next year, the Artarmon site will be fully operational — a new hub for Porsche service excellence in Sydney’s north, blending function, form, and unmistakable Porsche identity.
