2012 Pinar Yar Govsa opens the first Lil’Gaea boutique in Izmir.
2015 Fox T, the iconic toddler bed from the Heroes collection is shortlisted for the Junior Design Awards.
Rocking Cradle is featured in Cabinet a book published by the South-Korean editions Mepublishing.
2017 Lil’Gaea launches their first GOTS Certified Organic homewares collection.
2018 Lil’Gaea opens a new Showroom in Istanbul and launches Pop by Gaea, a sister brand that offers wall decoration (posters stickers, wallpapers) and wooden toys.
Drogbox, Dog Lite ang Milky Desk are featured in Design for Children book, published by Phaidon.
2019
Iris E Crib is awarded 3rd Best Cot Design by the Junior Design Awards.
Fox Collection is chosen to be featured in Our Royal Baby, a commemorative book celebrating Prince Harry and Meghan’s journey from romance, engagement, through to parenthood.
THE CREATION
Founded in 2012 by Pınar Yar Govsa and Tugrul Govsa, LilGaea produces furniture with a strong focus on child safety and health along with natural materials and modern forms with versatility.
Starting a children’s line was a natural progression for designer Pinar Yar.
Becoming a Mama, Pinar started designing and producing things for her eldest to use in her room and to play with.
She soon found she had many wonderful pieces (as well as a second and third daughter), and was ready to share!

PHILOSOPHY
Based on the belief that kids have imagination without boundaries, the collection futures a range of “Hero” pieces, each inspired by the simplicity of a cardboard box, and the endless possibilities that blank canvas presents to a child’s fantasy.

Lil’Gaea’s focus is transition, from a baby to toddler into a childhood, the furniture is designed to create an emotional connection between product and the user while decorating homes with soul and passion.

We pride ourselves on intense focus on natural materials and certificated production. The emotive quality of everyday objects, and balance with natural materials and hightech precision manufacturing is our driving force.
Since the beginning, Lil’Gaea has held a deep commitment to sustainable, Turkey based local production. Each piece is made by a small team of highly skilled traditional artisan with the highest quality sustainable finishes and materials.

Gaea works primarily with natural materials, embracing their unique character and color as an integral part of design. These high-quality materials have minimal to no chemical processing and no harmful additives. The natural materials we work with are carefully selected for their natural qualities and their ability to grow more beautiful with age and use.
We follow a philosophy of kids health and safety, local manufacturing and material selection.
