CLUB NOTES AND UPDATES
Happy New Year Everyone and welcome to Parc Ynysderw for this Ardal League Southern Cup Quarter Final against our friends at Pure Swansea FC. Welcome to everyone associated with Pure Swansea and our Match Referee Teifion Cook and his officials.
After the disappointment of the late call off at home to Ynysygerwn we travelled to Clydach without a game in 5 weeks and our performance showed as we went down 3-1 in a low quality game. Our goal came late in the first half but despite that boost the second half was one to forget as Clydach scored a third. Credit it to them for winning both games this season but now we have to focus on ourselves and show a response in today’s cup game. Pure Swansea are a quality side so the lads need to be at their best today.
We want to send our condolences to the family of Phil Sudale who passed away in late December. He was a lovely person who loved his football. Phil was a former committee member here at the club as well as a coach. Our thoughts are with James, Jack and Nia at this sad time. We also want to send our sympathy to the family of Nicola who was the Head Chef at Pontardawe RFC’s Scrum Five Bistro. A lovely lady who will be missed by everyone
• Transfer Update : We welcome Jordan Stallibrass to the club as he joins us from Billinghurst FC of the Southern Combination league.
• Fixture Update : Check out the fixture list for a number of rearranged games at the back end of the season.
• Youth @ Ponty : Tomorrow the Development travel are home to Barry Town United iat Pentrehafod 3G n the league whilst the Under 18s are also home to Mumbles Rangers. The Youth have drawn Cardiff Met away in the FAW Youth Cup Quarter Finals on February 1st.
• Ground Update : Further positive meetings were held with the FAW and the Cymru Football Foundations were held this week. Although we are still waiting to put the first shovel in we are working hard behind the scenes in terms of the legals, designs and funding. A lot of work ahead but the future is really looking positive
• Festival News : We have agreed the date for our Junior Festival with more news coming soon. The dates are Saturday 16th May and Sunday 17th May

A big favourite here during his last spell Harri now returns from Ammanford Town. An exciting attacking option who is solid in defence we are so please to welcome Harri back
Colin returns to Town where he had a short spell some time ago. A top player and a proven goalscorer with a wealth of experience. Welcome back Colin
With speed to burn Dafydd can turn any defender inside out as he proved on many occasion last season. Will be looking to increase his goal tally this year
"JD" is Mr Ponty Been with us since birth and is still one of our most skilfull players. A real stalwart of the club and a scorer of some real crackers with hopefully more to come this season

Will was our Peter James Young Player of the Year for the 20242025 season. An outstanding talent in midfield who outshone many an experienced opposition player last season.
Max featured for the first team a few times last season and is another one of the title winning Academy squad players. A real talent with an eye for goal
Jesse will join us in August when he turns 16 and will be immediately pushing for a first team start. He is a real talent and has an exciting future here at Parc Ynysderw
Kyle has played at Swansea City, Merthyr Town, Yeovil Town and many more but more recently has been banging them in at St Josephs FC. A proven goalscorer who hope will help take us to the next level here at Parc Ynysderw
Sam joins us from Morriston Town and comes with loads of experience at this level. A solid and attack minded midfielder who is a great addition to the squad here at Parc Ynysderw
Connor spent 2 seasons here at Pontardawe back in 2017-2019 and we welcome him back to the club as he signs from a successful spell at Port Talbot Town
