THE SUITE EXPERIENCE

The following enhancements and guidelines are designed to help you and your guests enjoy your suite while protecting the integrity of the US Open and its partners. Please share this information with your guests to ensure a great experience for everyone.

PLEASE NOTE: Your suite is designed for private, non-commercial use only, not for business promotion.

Suite-Level Enhancements:

• Private suite-only levels: Both new levels are reserved exclusively for suite patrons and their guests, with no shared concourses, creating a more private and refined environment throughout.

• Wider, more comfortable concourses: Suite corridors expand to nine feet at their narrowest point—up from approximately five feet in prior configurations—allowing for smoother circulation and a more relaxed guest experience.

• Dedicated restroom locations: Restrooms have been relocated from within the suites to newly designed facilities at each of the four concourse corners, enhancing both space and flow within the suites themselves.

• Expanded interior and terrace footprints: Every suite now features more generous dimensions, both inside the lounge and across the exterior terrace.

• Culinary-forward suite design: Layouts have been intentionally reimagined to better accommodate elevated food and beverage service.

• Suite-level cooking facilities: Dedicated pantries and culinary support spaces are being introduced to enable more sophisticated preparation and service as guest expectations continue to evolve.

Commercial Guidelines

• Use of US Open IP or Co-Branding: The use the US Open/USTA logos, names, or trademarks in any advertisements or marketing campaigns is probhibited. To maintain the distinct identity of the US Open marks, co-branding is not permitted. Official merchandise and corporate items should be branded independently to ensure maximum brand consistency.

• Influencer Marketing: Our policy precludes suite guests from inviting influencers, content creators, or celebrities with the expectation of receiving social media coverage, endorsements, or posts. Providing tickets or compensation in exchange for brand promotion is strictly prohibited, as is using official brand accounts to imply a partnership.

• Commercial Content Creation: The use of photos or videos of the stadium, matches, crowds, or even approved interior suite signage is prohibited in any external advertisements, commercial social media posts, or marketing materials.

• Product Distribution or Brand Activations: The suite may not be used for product demos, sampling, or brand activations. You are prohibited from distributing flyers, handouts, or promotional items to invitees or the general public.

• Contests or Product Placement: Please ensure that tickets are not used for sweepstakes or contests. “Ambush” tactics - such as staging products/logos in view of cameras or having guests wear promotional clothing, are prohibited.

Strictly Prohibited Items

• Unauthorized Branding & Signage: No exterior-facing signs visible from the court or concourse (pop-up banners, flags, decals). No interior items affixed to walls or glass.

• Promotional Goods & Commercial

Merchandise: No unapproved flyers, brochures, product catalogs, gifts, or premiums intended for distribution.

• Product Integration & Staging Items: No product samples for giveaways, staging items for photos/videos, or “walking billboard” wearables with commercial slogans/logos.

• Media Equipment: No commercial-grade cameras, lighting rigs, or audio gear.

• Outside F&B: No outside food, beverages, tableware, or food utensils of any kind.

PLEASE NOTE: Our no outside food policy includes all small items, such as mints, gum, snacks, or candies.

Shipping privileges are reserved for clients with three (3) or more suite sessions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Part 1: Intellectual Property & Marketing (Section 2)

The “Golden Rule”: A Suite License is for Hospitality (Entertainment), not Marketing (Advertising).

IMPORTANT: CLIENT ELIGIBILITY FOR SHIPPING & BRANDED MATERIALS

Q: “Can I ship items to my suite or bring branded materials with me on event day?”

A: It depends on the number of suite sessions you have purchased.

Clients with one (1) or two (2) suite sessions:

• Are not permitted to pre-ship items to the US Open.

• Are not permitted to bring branded materials, promotional items, gift bags, giveaways, signage, décor, or corporate collateral onto the grounds on event day.

• May not distribute branded items to guests within the suite.

Clients with three (3) or more suite sessions:

• May be eligible to pre-ship limited, pre-approved items.

• Must receive written approval from the US Open Premier team prior to shipping any materials.

• Must adhere to all branding, décor, and intellectual property guidelines.

PLEASE NOTE: The suite program is intended to function as a hospitality environment rather than a marketing or activation platform. Approval of any item remains at the sole discretion of the USTA.

Q: “Can I bring gift bags, branded merchandise, promotional items, or company giveaways into the stadium on event day?”

A: Clients with one (1) or two (2) suite sessions may not bring these items onto the grounds.

• The Rule: For clients with three (3) or more suite sessions, approved items must be shipped in advance through the approved process and may not be hand-carried into the venue.

Q: “Can we display our company logo, branded signage, branded décor, or promotional materials in the suite?”

A: Only clients with three (3) or more suite sessions may be considered for limited, pre-approved interior branding.

Clients with one (1) or two (2) suite sessions are not permitted to display branded materials, signage, promotional collateral, décor, or giveaways within the suite.

All approved branding must:

• Remain within the interior lounge space.

• Be non-affixed.

• Receive written approval in advance.

• Comply with all US Open intellectual property and sponsorship guidelines.

Q: “We work with several influencers who have large followings. Can we invite them to the suite?”

A: Yes, but with strict conditions.

• The Rule: You may invite them as a guest, but you are strictly prohibited from inviting or providing tickets to influencers, content creators, or public figures in exchange for or with the expectation of receiving social media posts, endorsements, or promotional content.

• The Difference: If they post organically (“Having fun!”), it is allowed. If the post is transactional (“Thanks to [Company] for the suite!”), it is a violation of the contract.

Q: “Can our social media team live-tweet or post Instagram Stories from the suite using our corporate account?”

A: Only if it is non-commercial.

• The Rule: You are prohibited from capturing or using “Works” (images/video) for any commercial, advertising, or marketing purposes.

• The Nuance: Posting “Enjoying the match!” is hospitality. Posting “Wearing our latest product, [INSERT HERE] at the US Open!” is prohibited marketing.

Q: “Can we hire a professional photographer/videographer to film client testimonials in the suite?”

A: No.

• The Rule: Section 2.3 strictly prohibits creating or using “Works” (including content created in the Suite) for commercial use.

• The Risk: The suite cannot be used as a content studio.

Q: “Can we put our company logo on US Open hats and put them in gift bags?”

A: No.

• The Rule: Section 2.1 strictly prohibits “co-branded US Open and Licensee promotional items”.

• The Detail: You cannot add your logo to official US Open merchandise, nor can you add the US Open logo to your own merchandise.

Q: We want our staff to wear matching t-shirts that say ‘Ask Me About [Product Name]’ while serving guests. Is that okay?

A: No.

• The Rule: Section 2.2 prohibits “overt identification on wardrobe/accessories” (clothing, caps, etc.) intended to display or reference brands, products, or services.

• Allowed: Standard corporate polo shirts with a small logo (uniforms) are generally acceptable, but promotional “walking billboards” are not.

Q: “Can I use the US Open logo on my invitations to clients?”

A: No.

• The Rule: You cannot use “USTA IP” (including the US Open name, logo, or trademarks) for any commercial or trade purposes, including advertising, marketing, or promotion.

Q: “Can we run a sweepstakes on LinkedIn where the prize is two tickets to our suite?”

A: No.

• The Rule: Section 2.2 explicitly forbids using the Suite or Tickets for “contests, sweepstakes or giveaways”.

• The Why: You cannot use US Open access to drive engagement or data collection for your business.

Q: “Can we hold a business card raffle inside the suite to give away an iPad?”

A: Technically, no.

• The Rule: Section 2.2 prohibits “commercial activities of any kind whatsoever,” including “contests”.

Part 2: Approvals, Items and Logistics (Section 3)

The “Gatekeeper Rule”: Nothing enters the suite without USTA written approval and proper shipping.

IMPORTANT: The shipping and branding permissions described in this section apply only to clients with three (3) or more suite sessions. Clients with one (1) or two (2) suite sessions are not eligible to pre-ship items and may not bring branded materials, giveaways, promotional items, or signage onto the grounds on event day.

Q: “Do I really need to get my gift bags approved? They are just standard company pens and notebooks.”

A: Yes.

• The Rule: All “invitations, gifts, premiums, promotional items... must be preapproved in writing by the USTA”.

• The Deadline: You must submit samples for consideration no later than August 1.

Q: “Can I hand out my gift bags to people as they walk into the stadium?”

A: No.

• The Rule: You are strictly prohibited from distributing items to anyone other than directly to your Invitees within the Suite. General distribution at the Center is banned.

Q: “The contract says I can’t create an ‘endorsement.’ What does that mean?”

A: Avoid implied association.

• The Rule: You must avoid creating any perception that the USTA endorses your company, products, or services.

Q: “Can I bring the gift bags with me when I enter the stadium?”

A: No, the contract requires shipping.

• The Rule: “Any approved Items... must be shipped via FedEx or UPS only”.

• The Limit: You are restricted to one (1) box per Session.

• The Exception: Merchandise purchased online via the official Licensor concessionaire and delivered to the Suite does not count against this one-box limit.

Part 3: Décor and Alterations (Section 4)

The “No Modifications” Rule: The suite must remain as designed unless explicitly approved.

Q: “Can we put up a banner with our company logo inside the suite?”

A: Yes, if you are a client with three (3) or more suite sessions, but it requires approval.

• The Rule: “Pre-approved limited, non-affixed branding” may be permitted in the interior only.

• The Condition: It must be non-affixed (no glue/nails/tape) and is subject to Licensor’s sole discretion.

• The Trap: Even if approved, you cannot take a photo of that banner and use it in an external ad, as that violates Section 2.3.

Q: “Can we put a decal on the glass window facing the court?”

A: No.

• The Rule: You are prohibited from displaying signs, notices, or advertisements in or around the Suite.

Q: “Can I bring my own artwork or put up a permanent sign on the wall?”

A: No.

• The Rule: You cannot make any additions, changes, or alterations to the suite, including displaying artwork or picture hangings, without written approval.
