C’est un immense plaisir et un grand privilège de vous servir à nouveau comme maire pour les quatre années à venir. Je tiens à vous remercier pour la confiance et le soutien que vous m’avez témoigné. Fidèle à l’engagement que j’ai pris lors de la cérémonie d’assermentation, je vous assure que j’agirai avec honnêteté, justice et intégrité, toujours guidé par le bien-être de l’ensemble des citoyennes et citoyens.

Bien que les enjeux qui sont devant nous sont grands, je suis sûr qu’en travaillant en équipe et en étant à l’écoute des besoins de la communauté, nous continuerons à avancer et à défendre les valeurs de Pointe-Claire qui nous sont chères. Tout au long de la campagne, j’ai été heureux d’échanger avec plusieurs d’entre vous. Vos attentes sont claires : faire progresser Pointe-Claire pour qu’elle demeure une ville dynamique, à notre image, tout en assurant un avenir durable. Ce qui nous distingue avant tout, c’est notre fort sentiment de communauté ; une richesse que je m’engage à continuer de nourrir en vous rassemblant autour de projets porteurs d’unité et de fierté. Pour les membres du conseil et moi-même, il est important de continuer à échanger avec vous. Dès ce printemps, vous serez invité aux rendez-vous Rencontres et Échanges où vous pourrez discuter directement avec votre conseiller et moi. Ce seront des moments privilégiés pour entendre vos préoccupations et vos idées pour notre ville. D’ici-là, je vous encourage à partager vos suggestions ou vos projets. Ma porte vous est toujours ouverte : que ce soit à l’hôtel de ville, par téléphone ou par courriel, je serai heureux de discuter avec vous. As you read this newsletter, the City Council members and I are already hard at work. Our first meetings and public sessions reflect our shared determination to work together to maintain a quality of life that Pointe-Claire can be proud of, and to take on the challenges we face, together. While the stakes are high, I am confident that, by working as a team and listening to the needs of the community, we will continue to move forward while upholding the values that define Pointe-Claire. I enjoyed having conversations with many of you during the election period. Your expectations are clear: to move PointeClaire forward and ensure it remains a dynamic and vibrant city, in our image, while staying committed to a sustainable future. What continues to set us apart is our strong sense of community. I pledge to continue nurturing this sense of solidarity by bringing people together around projects that build our unity and community pride. For both the members of council and myself, continuing open dialogue with you is important. Starting this spring, you will be invited to take part in Meet and Connect events where you can talk directly with your councillor and me. These will be special opportunities to hear your concerns and ideas for our city. In the meantime, I encourage you to share your suggestions and initiatives. My door is always open: whether at City Hall, by phone, or by email, I’d be happy to hear from you. Your councillor is also available to support you. We look forward to seeing you at Council Meetings, at various municipal events or across the city and in your neighbourhood.

À la suite des élections en novembre dernier, nous avons accueilli les nouveaux membres du conseil. Alors que plusieurs nouvelles élues et nouveaux élus ont fait leur entrée dans le monde municipal, soyez assuré(e) que l’administration les soutient dans leur nouveau rôle.
Following the municipal elections in November, we welcomed our new City Council members. With several of the newly elected officials undertaking their first term in municipal office, be assured that the administration supports them in their new roles.
Encore cette année, Pointe-Claire s’est illustrée sur la scène municipale en remportant un Grand Prix CNESST régional dans la catégorie innovation pour les organismes publics, alors que M. Paul Bissonnette, ancien conseiller, a reçu le prix hommage de l’UMQ pour ses 20 ans de service. Sur la scène sportive, M. Paul Biloserskyj, entraîneur de natation, a reçu le prix Entraîneur d’influence de la Fédération de natation du Québec et des athlètes ainsi que des entraîneurs ont été honorés en début d’année lors du Gala de Plongeon Canada.
Pointe-Claire has once again distinguished itself on the municipal scene this year by winning a CNESST Regional Grand Prize in the “Innovation – Public Organizations” category, while former Councillor Paul Bissonnette was honoured by UMQ for his 20 years of service. On the sports scene, swim coach Paul Biloserskyj received the Coach of Influence award from the Fédération de natation du Québec, and our Diving Club athletes and coaches were honoured at the Diving Canada Gala earlier this year.

New Bioretention Area in Pointe-Claire
Une nouvelle aire de biorétention a été aménagée dans l’espace vert situé entre les avenues Elgin et Elmwood. Les travaux se sont terminés en octobre dernier.
A new bioretention area has been created in the green space located between Elgin and Elmwood avenues. The work was completed in October.

Thanks to its natural design, rainwater is directed toward the centre of the green space, where it temporarily collects in a stone basin hidden beneath the vegetation. The water is then naturally filtered before returning to the ground or the drainage system.

How Snow Removal Operations Are Carried Out
Les opérations de déneigement débutent lors d’une accumulation moyenne d’environ cinq centimètres et se déroulent en deux étapes qui se répètent selon l’importance et la durée des chutes de neige.
Snow removal operations begin following a snowfall of about five centimetres and are carried out in two stages that are repeated if snow continues to fall.
