elcome to 2020! A new year, a new decade and the most-anticipated event coming to the Pocono Mountains this decade… the first-ever NASCAR Doubleheader Week!
While the NASCAR season kicks off this February, the team at Pocono Raceway is working hard to prepare for a truly historic event this summer. Mark your calendars for the first-ever NASCAR Doubleheader Week, taking place Thursday, June 25 – Sunday June 28. This most epic week of racing awesomeness will feature five races in four days, including two NASCAR Cup Series races on consecutive days – a first in NASCAR history. And, best of all, kids (ages 12 and under) are FREE all week long! This NASCAR Doubleheader Week kicks off with ARCA Menards Series practice, qualifying and the General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 race on Thursday. Friday will feature NASCAR Cup Series practices, as well as Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series practice and qualifying. Saturday is jam-packed with NASCAR Cup Series qualifying, NASCAR Xfinity Series practice, a 150-mile NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race and a 325-mile NASCAR Cup Series race. Sunday will include NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying and the Pocono Green 225 Recycled by J.P. Mascaro & Sons race, and a 350-mile NASCAR Cup Series race. In total, Pocono Raceway will host 1,250 miles of racing in just four days. But, that’s not all…
There will be tons of amenities, activities and other events for all ages thought the race week. This will include a FREE Carnival, driver appearances, live music and entertainment, our Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital Kids Zone, our annual Kids Day, meet-and-greets with our mascot Trick the Fox, a fireworks shows and so much more. Almost of all of these amenities are included with a gate admission ticket! If you have an RV or want to camp in our infield, now is the time to get your tickets because supplies are limited. Camping guests can bring their kids (ages 12 and under) for FREE, as well as access to Pocono Raceway’s Bark Park, #POCONOMTNS Inclusive Playground, Infield Block Party and Pocono Mountains Activities & Welcome Center.
Did you know that Pocono Raceway is recognized as the world’s first racetrack to be sensory inclusive, thanks to our partnership with KultureCity? Sensory kits are available to anyone with Autism, Alzheimer’s, PTSD, etc. Additionally, the Raceway offers quiet, sensory rooms behind the Grandstand and near the garage, on the infield side. Track staffers have been trained to identify and assist anyone who may have a sensory issue. Pocono Raceway is gearing up for an epic event and wants to see you there.
