Police recommend charges against Lynch accuser BY BRANDON MACZ BELLEVUE REPORTER

The Bellevue Police Department has forwarded a criminal summons to the city attorney’s office against the 31-year-old woman alleged to have made false assault allegations against

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch back in August, which appears to be the result of mistaken identity caused by the woman’s state of intoxication at the time. Police believe evidence exists against Jammie Ficarelli of Everett

to charge her with making a false or misleading statement to a public servant, which is a gross misdemeanor. Lynch had been cleared of the allegations early on in the investigation. According to a probable cause affidavit, Ficarelli had been drink-

ing excessively at the Blue Martini in downtown Bellevue on Aug. 9, later ending up outside The Bravern apartment complex. She saw a man emerge from a vehicle in the valet area of The Bravern whom she identified as Lynch. She told investigators she was

GreenTheory open for business

Bellevue’s first recreational marijuana shop, Green-Theory, opened its doors at noon Monday after several months coordinating with the city and state liquor control board. “We finally were able to all collaborate and make it happen,” said Green-Theory Manager Tera Martin. “We did an awesome buildout. We were really trying to go for a marijuana retail boutique.” Catering to its Bellevue market, Martin said the store supplies some of the best producer and processor brands of marijuana

Green-Theory waited until opening day to make the announcement, Martin said, to avoid long-standing lines at the shop. For the first three weeks, she said soft opening hours will be noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. This should ease customers in and allow Green-Theory to assess its supply compared to demand, Martin said. The store opened at noon, ushering in its first SEE POT STORE, 22

It’s out with the old and in with the new at the Factoria Transfer Station, where for the past week crews have been demolishing antiquated warehouses to make way for a $50 million facility upgrade. The west building had been leveled and the east was still coming down at the station Tuesday. The current transfer station lacks the space and height to accommodate larger commercial vehicles that were not anticipated when the station was constructed in the mid-1960s, said Doug Williams, a spokesman for the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks. A larger, taller and more environmentally friendly facility will be constructed within the footprint of the razed warehouses off of Southeast 30th Street, across from the current transfer station.
