Evans Creek Preserve Trail Work Evans Creek Preserve is old farm land that was purchased by the City of Sammamish to both protect the natural landscape and to provide the community with recreational opportunities. The 179 acre site varies from nearly flat meadows to steep slopes. It includes a variety of habitats, including wetland, riparian and forested upland. Work with city staff and Sammamish Trail Stewards to finish the connector trail between Sahalee Way and Evans Creek Preserve! The new trails will be a primitive, natural surface, and will connect Evans Creek Preserve to Sahalee Way. Parties are scheduled on June 19, 28, July 1, 2, 3, 8, 12 and 13.
Sammamish Landing Restoration In partnership with the City of Sammamish, Friends of Cedar River Watershed is hosting volunteer projects at Sammamish Landing. The Friends of the Cedar River Watershed works hard to engage people to enhance and sustain watersheds through restoration, education and stewardship. Work parties are scheduled 9am-1pm on June 21, July 19, October 18 and November 15.
