“When Sam was first diagnosed with ATRT, we were told that treatment was a choice. When we received a second opinion from Alyssa Reddy, MD and Shannon Raber, NP at UCSF, we found gifted allies who were ready to give everything they had to fighting for Sam. They met our fear with compassion and confronted this impossible task with confidence and conviction Through PNOC, they were able to compare notes across other cases of ATRT around the country, use revolutionary diagnostics to assess the progress of his disease, and help Sam participate in a shadow clinical trial using immunotherapy. His case has even been discussed in person by PNOC’s ATRT working group. Sam’s treatment was every bit as arduous on him as we were told to expect. But the unending support, wisdom and care of our medical team gave us hope and resolve. Now, a year after Sam’s diagnosis, he is thriving back home as the world’s best big brother and in school His hair is growing back, he is learning to read, write and play piano, going on playdates with his friends and adventuring with his little brother. Every day, he is inspiring everyone he knows to embrace each day with joy and purpose.”
— Jason and Giovanna Nossiter, Sam’s parents
PNOC Foundation is an award winning, platinum-rated 501(c)(3) organization on a mission to lose no child to brain cancer. Brain cancer is the leading cause of childhood cancer death in the United States, and many children diagnosed today still face limited treatment options .
For more than a decade, the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Consortium (PNOC) has worked to change that reality Because of PNOC’s bold efforts to accelerate research, hope is on the horizon Founded to challenge traditional research paradigms that move too slowly for children in need, PNOC built a new model, one centered on collaboration, scientific rigor, and rapid translation of discovery into clinical trials. With an operational base at UCSF and a global network of 43 leading children’s hospitals and research institutions, PNOC has demonstrated that it is possible to move promising therapies from bench to bedside years faster than conventional timelines, and advanced two drugs to FDA approval, two extraordinary milestones
That progress led to the launch of the Lose No Child Campaign, a $50 million commitment to ensure that every child diagnosed with brain cancer has access to a clinical trial and a meaningful treatment option. The campaign reflects both the urgency of the disease, and the maturity and effectiveness of the platform PNOC has built

r
ability to scale. We want to have a treatment available for every child and rapidly advance therapies that are globally accessible. We now have researchers from six continents working together to advance the science and expand clinical trial options for our patients As PNOC enters its next phase, the priority is to secure the philanthropic support required to fully fund this moment, so that momentum is sustained, discoveries are not delayed, and no child is left without a path forward.
We invite you to join us on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the iconic Julia Morgan Ballroom at the Merchants Exchange in San Francisco for a sophisticated and unforgettable evening in support of PNOC.
This year’s Gratitude Gala delivers a thrilling, James Bond–inspired experience where elegance meets action and purpose takes center stage. Leaders in pediatric brain cancer research will gather alongside dedicated supporters and families, united by a shared mission to outsmart pediatric brain cancer and accelerate lifesaving breakthroughs. Guests will enjoy an impeccably curated evening featuring a gourmet dinner, live auction, and compelling stories that reveal the remarkable momentum driving the future of treatment and care.
In true Bond fashion, progress demands ingenuity, courage, and bold moves. The Gratitude Gala is your license to give! Fueling innovation, advancing critical clinical trials, and supporting cutting-edge therapies, it’s your chance to give children a fighting chance and a brighter future.
As PNOC’s signature event and most important fundraiser of the year, the Gratitude Gala is where generosity funds the research that saves lives
