Between mystical visits from an ancient ancestor, every-day life at her job at her Uncle's convenience store on the Rez, and her community rallying to tear down a statue of her city's founder, Brooke feels torn. She is struggling to reconcile her Mi'kmaw heritage and living in a place founded by a British military officer hell bent on destroying her ancestors.
This gentle comedy asks the question - how can a woman whose family lives in a society placed under a microscope of stereotype, carry the resilience of her ancestors to embrace their existence?
