Treasure Hall
Student Housing at Treasure Island
Treasure Hall is a student housing project for a mixed-use building with commercial and residential service areas are programmed into the first level. Student housing units were added with the intention of addressing privacy, interaction, and acoustic wellness.

The Pathway
Center for Ecological Stewardship in the Marin Headleands
The Pathway encourages its occupants to interact with nature while meeting the community’s needs. It was designed to usher visitors through the site and experience what the Marin Headlands has to offer in natural beauty.

Jenifer’s Home
Transitional Housing and Center for the Youth Jenifer’s Home proposed replacing a parking lot with a mixed-use building that serves that serves as a youth center and long-term transitional housing. Eliminating the parking lot will decrease the heat emitted from the pavement and introducing more vegetation will help lower the temperature, all while providing a necessary service to the greater community of Washington D.C.

School of Health Sciences
University of the District of Columbia Campus Redesign
The School of Health Sciences took the place of their previous outdated building. The design goal was to create a space that bridges the existing residential community to South Dakota Ave and the new development across the street, while inviting the community to interact. The facade took precedent from the University’s student center.

H St Community Center Center for Education and Assistance
A two-story building designed for the H St Corridor of D.C. to provide opportunities for supplemental education and services for the surrounding community. The building is masonry to fit the context of site. The integration of the wood louvers bring an organic material into the facade while casting scattered sunlight into the building . The back of the site hosts a community garden enclosed by bushes to fence in the area with a permeable barrier.

Playing with Form Exploring The Creattion of Abstract Forms
An abstraction is an idea that exists, irregardless of context. The creation of the abstract, in this case, forms developed from rudimentary shapes, marked the beginning of the series. As the series progressed, the abstract informed a context reliant on itself. This was pushed further with materiality and environment. The final aspect of this series sought to explore how context could start to influence what was once abstract.

Playing with Art Exploring Different Medias of Visual Art
A part of my journey in learning about different media that can aid in the design process. Media ranging from the physical arts —ceramics and painting— to the digital arts— photography and videography.
