he second edition of Shared Worlds, a THE ONE Yacht & Design event organised by Platinum Media Lab in partnership with IED Milan and held on 11 June 2026, explored the heart
of an increasingly close and successful relationship between design and
the yachting sector. This dialogue between yacht design and lifestyle is becoming increasingly interdisciplinary, with yachting, architecture, technology, design and lifestyle all converging. This is why the 2026 edition’s guiding theme was: “A revolution already onboard. Outdoor living, entertainment, AI: the future of yacht design and guest experience”, a theme that inspired an afternoon of topical panel discussions and open debates on the future of onboard design. The debate kicked off with a conversation between Désirée Sormani, Managing Director of THE ONE Yacht & Design, and internationally renowned yacht designer Francesco Paszkowski, focusing on how yacht design has changed over the last decade and the importance of training young designers in the age of artificial intelligence. They emphasised the shared conviction that technology is a valuable tool that must, however, in no way replace design culture, sensitivity and practical experience. For Paszkowski, design means first and foremost listening to the client, interpreting their needs and transforming them into a vision destined to

The first panel of this year’s Shared Worlds edition featured five speakers, moderated by Désirée Sormani, discussing contemporary ways of experiencing outdoor spaces on board, where continuity is the defining principle. Clockwise, starting from the top: architect Marijana Radovic, Co-Founder of m2atelier; Federico Rossi, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Cantiere Rossinavi; Giulia Molteni, Chief Marketing Officer at Molteni&C; Valeria Bianchet, Project Manager of the Contract Unit at Moroso; architect Antonio Rodriguez, Co-Founder of Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez
