Diamonds no longer wait for the gala. For decades, High Jewellery belonged to rare occasions, red carpets and formal evenings. The diamond was guarded in a safe, revealed with solemn reverence.
In 2005, Valérie Messika founded her Maison in Paris, Inspired by a cultural rather than aesthetic intuition - diamonds had to become a daily gesture, entering life as naturally as a tailored blazer or a pair of iconic heels.
“I wanted to tell the story of diamonds in a completely different way. I found this universe magnificent, but I wanted to lighten it, to make it younger and more contemporary.”

stones, but light in motion. The jewel follows the body rather than overpowering it. It accompanies instead of imposing. Here, High Jewellery becomes prêt-à-porter. Diamonds are worn during the day, layered over a white shirt, slipped under a leather jacket, stacked effortlessly. Jewellery is no longer an exceptional event, but a personal language. Not a single monumental piece, but a composition that reflects individual style.Clean, sharp, sensual lines define Messika’s aesthetic. Diamonds appear suspended, creating subtle visual tension. The dialogue with fashion is natural. High Jewellery shows during Paris Fashion Week bring diamonds onto the runway like couture. Collaborations with figures such as Kate Moss have reinforced an imagery of instinctive elegance and bold femininity.
In less than twenty years, the Maison has expanded to 90 countries with nearly 600 points of sale, maintaining independence and a strong stylistic coherence. Its entry into the Comité Colbert in 2025 marked institutional recognition of a journey that began as intuition and became global vision. Creative maturity also defines its High Jewellery collections. The 110-carat rough diamond acquired for Beyond the Light became a declaration of aesthetic strength, transforming light into sculpture and narrative. New directions explore hand-engraved gold, sculptural volumes and chromatic intensity, as seen in the So Move Rainbow set, where sapphires and rubies create a controlled explosion of colour. Beyond design, philanthropy plays a role. In 2021, Valérie Messika founded her Foundation to support underprivileged young women, reinforcing a vision where luxury carries responsibility.
