uxury is often associated with extravagance, but Al Reem offers a different perspective. The final and most highly customised yacht in the Bilgin 263 series, she was conceived around a simple yet unconventional idea: that true luxury lies in the ability to slow down and connect with what really matters. Guided by her owner’s philosophy of ‘Less is More’, Al Reem strips away visual clutter in favour of calm, space and uninterrupted views. Built by Bilgin Yachts, with exterior design and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design and interiors by H2 Yacht Design, she demonstrates how restraint can become a powerful design tool, transforming an already successful platform into something deeply personal. From the moment guests step onboard, the yacht’s relationship with the surrounding seascape becomes apparent. Vast floor-to-ceiling glazing floods the interiors with natural light, while a palette of white, cream and soft beige tones amplifies the sense of openness. Rather than relying on bold contrasts or decorative excess, the interior uses texture, craftsmanship and carefully layered materials to create atmosphere. Natural stone, leather, timber and bespoke finishes are combined with remarkable subtlety, resulting in spaces that feel simultaneously sophisticated and serene. The owner’s desire for uninterrupted sightlines became one of the defining principles of the project. Nowhere is this more evident than in the main saloon, where traditional design conventions were deliberately challenged. A bar, typically positioned near the forward exterior seating area, was removed entirely to preserve a direct visual axis through the space. Upon entering, the eye travels uninterrupted through the saloon towards the water beyond, dissolving the boundary between yacht and environment. Even the television disappears into the ceiling when not in use, ensuring technology never competes with the view. This philosophy extends throughout the accommodation. The full-beam owner’s suite occupies a dedicated private deck made possible by relocating the wheelhouse to the top deck. Freed from conventional constraints, the entire forward section becomes a secluded apartment at sea, complete with panoramic views over the bow and direct access to a private exterior lounge. Bathed in natural light and finished with tactile materials including cream-toned leathers, soft silk carpets and organic matt timbers, the suite serves as a personal sanctuary designed for relaxation and privacy. Guest accommodation follows the same design language. Backlit stone feature walls, natural materials and carefully curated lighting create a calm residential atmosphere, while subtle variations in stone, timber and detailing ensure each cabin retains its own identity. Perhaps nowhere is Al Reem’s emphasis on wellbeing more apparent than in the lower deck beach club. Conceived as a private wellness retreat, the space opens directly to the sea through expansive shell doors. A private massage terrace, steam room, hammam and treatment areas transform the beach club into a spa-like environment, while a separate gym and sauna further reinforce the yacht’s focus on holistic living. Throughout, soft lighting, tactile surfaces and carefully selected materials create an atmosphere that feels intentionally removed from the pace of life ashore. The yacht’s technical achievements support this pursuit of tranquillity. Extensive sound insulation was specified throughout, while a stabilised bed in the owner’s suite and carefully engineered construction contribute to exceptional onboard comfort. Even the entertainment system has been designed to disappear into the background when not required. Following delivery, Al Reem is already fulfilling the role envisioned by her owner as both a means of travelling the world and a place to slow down and connect with it. he brief for M/Y Al Reem was unique: to evolve the proven Bilgin 263 platform to maximise interior volume while retaining the sleek, sporty and aggressive aesthetic that defines the series. The challenge was to integrate an additional nearly 100GT of volume without adding visual bulk. To achieve this, we completely redesigned the superstructure. The resulting lines are smoother and more flowing than her sisterships, granting Al Reem an even more imposing yet elegant profile. Key modifications included sculpting the entire upper section to conceal the increased internal volume, making her appear fast and dynamic at all speeds. The mast was intentionally designed to be 20 per cent larger and more striking than the previous models, enhancing the yacht’s bold stance on the water. The exterior deck spaces are expansive and carefully conceived for seamless indooroutdoor living, with a foredeck crafted entirely from teak wood and a superstructure finished in a striking combination of metallic grey and polished accents. Al Reem’s exterior is a perfect demonstration of naval architecture and artistic vision working in harmony, delivering a voluminous yacht that never sacrifices its powerful, athletic silhouette.

he interior design brief for M/Y Al Reem centred on creating a serene oasis focused on calmness, purity, and relaxation’ for the owner and guests. Our goal was to depart from heavier, more traditional yachting aesthetics and craft a space that feels contemporary, light, and deeply restorative. We implemented a light and neutral palette throughout the 1,758GT volume, ensuring the expansive spaces feel fresh and calming. The material selection was crucial in achieving this: the design masterfully blends warm, organic matt timbers to provide a comforting residential feel. This is contrasted with the sleek, modern refinement of polished stainless steel, plush cream leather and soft silk carpets. Elegant natural stones were incorporated not just for decoration, but to enhance the purity of the space. Al Reem is designed for effortless living and large-scale entertainment, accommodating 12 guests across six spacious cabins, all serviced by a dedicated crew of 24. The layout and aesthetic promote a direct connection with the surrounding environment, ensuring that the interior’s clean, sophisticated lines provide a perfect counterbalance to the vibrant views outside. This execution by the Bilgin team has truly translated the owner’s vision into a breathtaking reality.

/Y Al Reem marks the proud completion of Bilgin Yachts’ highly successful 80-metre superyacht trilogy. Following the groundbreaking Tatiana and the award-winning Leona, Al Reem represents the ultimate evolution of this platform, setting a new benchmark for capacity, performance, and bespoke craftsmanship within the series. The primary challenge in delivering Al Reem was fulfilling the owner’s vision for the most voluminous yacht in the series while maintaining the aggressive performance profile defined by Unique Yacht Design. We successfully engineered the yacht to boast an impressive 1,758GT – nearly 100GT more than the first hull – without compromising on speed or range. Powered by twin MTU 16V 4000M73 engines, Al Reem reaches a top speed of 19 knots and offers an extraordinary trans-oceanic range of over 5,000 nautical miles. The construction process required intense naval architectural refinement to integrate the larger superstructure and deliver this unprecedented volume within the existing hull envelope, proving our ability to evolve a series model significantly. The highly demanding interior brief by H2 Yacht Design was executed by our team of over 700 highly skilled craftsmen, who perform 90 per cent of the work in-house. This end-to-end control was essential for realising the complex, serene aesthetic, particularly in the meticulous selection and installation of organic matt timbers, polished stainless steel and natural stones across the expansive six-cabin layout. Al Reem is the proof of how Bilgin Yachts combines traditional Turkish craftsmanship with the innovation of today’s world.
