questions to Giovanni Costantino Founder and Ceo of The Italian Sea Group What are the key design features that make the EVO120 stand out? The EVO120 is characterised by the perfect equilibrium between cutting-edge design and engineering efficiency, style and functionality. The project reveals an essential and clean visual comfort, thanks to the use of precious materials blended with relaxing nuances, fluid forms and extraordinary finishes, making us proud of Italian craftsmanship. The R&D team redesigned some of the main living spaces on board – how did they do this? EBy working extremely thoroughly on the dimensions, arrangements, and technical solutions related to all compositional and spatial elements in order to optimise each individual detail. Through this, they were able to increase comfort, storage capacity, general functionality and, finally, the vessel’s general look. What type of client do you think that the EVO120 appeals to? For our clients, a yacht is representative of an emotion; it allows them to live moments of serenity with their loved ones. The owner of EVO120 desires adventure and freedom, they want to navigate in every condition and location and, most of all, they want to be assured that each and every need will be understood and realised without compromise. How is The Italian Sea Group finding current market activity? The segment up to and over 100m has shown a higher level of resilience compared to other sectors – its customer base is loyal, international and comprised of UHNWIs who are less exposed to recessionary economic scenarios. Despite the grave pandemic situation, we have continued to invest in production capacity and human resources and, at the end of 2020, we have reached excellent results in terms of revenue growth and margins. What should we expect from The Italian Sea Group in the future? Our order book has increased and we are continuously working to reach new and challenging objectives. We proceed steadily with our production plans and expansion activities, having opened production spaces dedicated to the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 line and completed the first shed as part of the The Italian Sea Group 4.0 expansion plan, which will be able to accommodate up to two 75m vessels for outfitting.
