15 years ago, Pip Studio was founded in Amsterdam by Catharina van der Endt who decided it was time to colour outside the lines. Today, Pip Studio has grown up, but kept her playful character. Pip Studio is a reflection of Catharina’s positive personality and perspective on life. She is convinced that each moment of each day beholds the opportunity to share and celebrate life with the people we care for.

You could ignore those tiny chunks of gold by sticking to your daily routine. But Pip suggests doing the exact opposite. Chase them, embrace them and cherish them. From waking up in the morning in a beautifully messy bed, walking barefoot over fairy tale tiles to sipping coffee together from royal porcelain cups that are different in every way you look at it.

From teapot to wallpaper, from pillow to cookie jar: Pip brightens your day with a colourful mash-up of styles and stories. Pip is a true treasure hunter. A passionate collector of past prettiness and enthusiastic adopter of bright new technology, like digital textile printing or porcelain cutlery. 100% Viscose

Viscose is often assumed to be a synthetic material, presumably because it used to be called artificial silk. Viscose is actually a synthetic fiber, but it is made from natural materials (wood and cellulose). This is why this substance is also known as semisynthetic. Viscose is a lovely, supple material that flatters the body wonderfully. This fabric also has a luxurious, silky sheen, hence the name artificial silk.

95% Viscose | 5% Elastane

Almost every season we use the fabric composition jersey viscose. The blend of viscose and elastane is the perfect balance between being washable and easy care, a soft smooth finish which feels lovely against your skin and you also have the comfort of wearing a stretch fabric. The fabric is comfortable and lovely to wear.

95% Cotton | 5% Elastane

Cotton is a natural material that absorbs a lot of moisture and is comfy to wear. Combined with elastane to make the fabric more elastic and to bring the items back in shape. For our Fall Winter 2023 collection we brushed the fabric inside to make it very soft and comfortable to wear during these cold days.

Velvet - 80% cotton | 20% polyester

Nicky velvet is a versatile fabric made in a similar way to familiar jersey knit fabrics but knitted with larger loops. These loops are then shaved off giving the fabric a soft, fuzzy feel. Nicky velvet is mostly made from a high proportion of cotton (80% in our case) and a blend of another fibre, such as polyester (20% in our case). Besides stretch it’s giving a high level of comfort. Nicky Velvet fabric is a luxury fabric quality. The soft velvet fabric is ideal for creating comfortable home- and loungewear.

48% Viscose | 48% Polyester | 4% Elastane

Polyviscose fabric is a blend of viscose and polyester. Blending polyester with viscose gives the best of both worlds and polyviscose is best described as a semi-natural or semi-synthetic fibre. By blending viscose and polyester to make a new fabric quality, poly-viscose largely retains the pleasant drape and feel of standard viscose, so its touch is quite natural to handle. But the added polyester means polyviscose is much easier to care for. Combined with elastane to make the fabric more elastic and to bring the items back into shape.

80% Cotton | 20% Polyester

Terry is a fabric woven with many protruding loops of thread which can absorb large amounts of water. Which makes it an ideal fabric, especially for our homewear collection, with its highly absorbent structure. These loops are often longer on one side since they were created to have the greatest possible absorbency. To make it fashionable and unique, we reversed the fabric. The fabric was firstly dyed, and after this the print was added on the smooth side. This means we use the loops inside, which makes this fabric perfect for comfortable homewear items.

48% Cotton | 48% Modal | 4% Elastane

Cotton and Modal are very different fabrics. The difference between cotton and modal fabric is that modal is softer and silkier, while cotton is warmer and more breathable. Combined you get the perfect mix of softness and breathability. The Cotton fabric makes it warmer and more breathable. Modal fabric is known for its softness, durability and colour fastness. Due it’s chemical process during dyeing the colours and prints will not fade if you wash it repeatedly. Plus it’s smooth surface resists pilling, so the garment will look nice for a long time. Combined with elastane to make the fabric more elastic and to bring the items back in shape. In this group it is very important that the products support during sports and that humidity is regulated. That’s why we have the material combinations.

36% Cotton | 36% Modal | 28% Elastane

The high percentage of elastane makes this fabric perfect for our sportswear collection; especially for our sport pants- and tops. The high percentage of elastane gives support during every workout.
