The Sunday After Celebrates Pinnacle Composers Sunday, April 3 | 10 am | Sanctuary
As has been our custom these past few years, the Sunday after Easter will feature special music performed by the Chancel Choir and instrumentalists. This year choral compositions by Pinnacle members Michael Hegeman and Stephen Crosby will be heard during the 10 am worship Dr. Michael Hegeman Stephen Crosby service. Holy, Holy, Holy is a condensed version of an earlier composition created by Michael Hegeman. It uses texts from Revelation 1, 4 & 21, tenor solos by Andrew Peck, and piano accompaniment to proclaim God as "the Alpha and the Omega". This will be the premier performance of A New Song by Stephen Crosby, a work that is dedicated to Brent and Marilyn Hylton and the Chancel Choir. Using texts from Psalm 98 and 150 and Luke 24, the work features solos by Adrienne Goglia and Andrew Peck as well as accompaniment by piano, organ, handbells and percussion to celebrate the joy of the resurrection. The Chancel Choir has enjoyed working on both of these compositions and feel especially blessed to have the composers singing along with them. INSIDE...
