Pastor's Report to the Congregation The power of one; the impact of many. This lovely theme for our annual reflection on ministry at Pinnacle was suggested by Mary Upchurch. Mary is a long-term member of the congregation and an elder currently serving on our Session. The thought is that all our ministry and efforts together begin in the One God, who we know in Jesus Christ. And from God comes a multitude of goodness, opportunity, loving acts and heartfelt prayers. We seek God-inspiration in all we do and we bathe in God's grace even when we fall short.
Dr. Wesley Avram, Pastor
This theme also means to remind us that in each single action for God's sake comes the possibility of a multiplied impact. One joins with another, who join with others, to become a witness beyond what one ever thought possible. We "bat above our weight" when we do ministry together. Isn't that the story of Pinnacle? We're still a young congregation by many measures. In God's grace, there is far more future for this congregation than there is past. Who knows what lies ahead . . . well, aside from God? But consider who we are right now. You'll see in this publication a glimpse of how ministry has multiplied this past year. Well over 30,000 instances of bodies in worship. More people involved in educational opportunities than ever. Mission engagements that continue to grow and attract new people into the work. The moving ordination of Mike Hegeman. Saying farewell and saying hello. I could continue with the list, but I don't think I need to. You know. If you're a stranger to Pinnacle, we invite you to become a friend. If you've been part of this community of faith for a few years, we thank you and invite you to continue to support, pray, and welcome new ministries.
