Many: We see Jesus, the one who challenges our lifestyles, who models faithfulness, and who offers life in abundance.

One: Let us worship God.

† PRAYER OF CONFESSION

The Rev. Dr. Kent Carter Gracious and generous God, you created humanity in your image, yet, we have become distorted. We were meant to desire you, but we have turned that desire toward possessions. We were meant to find our security in you, but we find it in amassing wealth. We were meant to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, but we busy ourselves with pursuing money and mammon. We were meant to be generous and to share with those in need, but we selfishly hoard our resources for ourselves. Forgive us, loving God. Turn us toward you. Give your generous gifts that we might give of our abundant ministry.

The Apostles' Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

FLOWER D EDICATION

The flowers at the pulpit are given to the glory of God and in memory of loved ones in heaven by Anna Hall.

The Rev. Dr. Kent Carter currently serves as a full-time chaplain with Asana Hospice in Harrisburg, PA. Before joining this hospice team, Kent served the Progress-Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Carlisle Presbytery for almost 12 years. Kent celebrated 25 years of ordained ministry last month. Kent enjoys being married, Dad to three children, hiking, biking, gardening, traveling, BBQing, and brewing.

COVID-19 UPDATE

In the past few weeks, Central Pennsylvania counties have reached a high positivity rate of COVID 19 transmission. In compliance with The PA Dept of Health, the session recommends that all individuals, no matter their vaccination status, wear masks in public indoor settings where there is a substantial or high transmission rate. Session asks worshipers to comply with these guidelines in consideration of the well-being of children, the immunocompromised, and others who are not eligible to receive the vaccine.
