† PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Forgiving God, in a world filled with so much pain, we confess that we often shut our eyes to keep from seeing things as they truly are. Grant us the strength to face the reality of our world, and give us the courage to bring your light to all who walk in darkness. Open our eyes to our misunderstandings, failures, and faults. God, lead us in the footsteps of Jesus, who reveals your glory through his life, his teachings, and his love. Help us see others as you see them. In the Holy Name of Jesus, we pray.

Covid-19 Update

In the past few weeks, Central Pennsylvania counties have reached a high positivity rate of COVID 19 transmission. This week, Session responded to this news by reviewing and supporting the CDC and Carlisle Presbytery recommendations that all individuals, no matter their vaccination status, wear masks in public indoor settings where there is a substantial or high transmission rate. Session asks worshipers to comply with these guidelines in consideration of the well-being of children, the immunocompromised, and others who are not eligible to receive the vaccine. Session will continue to monitor regional data to make decisions on behalf of the health and safety of our Pine Street community.
