† PRAYER OF CONFESSION Rev. Heather Sigler God of wisdom, we confess our failure to live by the truths you have spoken. We have heard your teachings, yet many times we make foolish choices. We try to find security in material possessions or waste our energy in pursuit of things that do not satisfy our deepest needs. Forgive us, and inspire us to seek first those things which enable us to live as your faithful people, disciples of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray. Amen.

In a broken and fearful world, the Spirit gives us courage to pray without ceasing, to witness among all peoples Christ as Lord and Savior, to unmask idolatries in Church and culture, to hear the voices of peoples long silenced, and to work with others for justice, freedom, and peace. The Nominating Committee has started forming a PNC (Pastoral Nominating Committee). They ask congregation members to submit names of members willing to be on the PNC. You can nominate yourself or someone you feel would be a good fit, but please ask them first if they would be willing to serve. Nominating forms can be found at the welcome desk and inside the worship bulletin. Once filled out, please place them in the wooden box at the welcome desk. Nominations can also be called into the church office at (717) 238-9304. Nominations will be accepted until Sunday, August 7th.
