With believers in every time and place, we rejoice that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. One: We gather here today to dedicate our Fazioli concert grand piano to the loving memory of Jack Leisure and the glory of God, the uplifting of spirits, and to the service of the church. We dedicate this piano to God for the proclamation of the gospel, for the worship of God through music, the expression of the beauty of God's world, and the celebration of God's presence in this sanctuary and all of life.
Many: Praise God in the sanctuary!
One: We dedicate this piano to the healing of life's discords and the expression of life's joys; to the revelation of the hidden soul of harmony; to comforting those who sorrow and exalting with those who are celebrating the blessedness of life's happy transitions.
Many: Praise God with stringed instruments!
One: In thankfulness for love so graciously expressed by this gift, in gratitude for the labors of all who love and serve Christ through his church here and everywhere, we bless this piano and dedicate its use to glorify God.
Many: We, surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses and thankful for the foresight of the one who provided us the means to acquire this beautiful instrument, dedicate ourselves anew to the worship and service of God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Welcome, Dr. Eric Fung. A native of Hong Kong, Dr. Fung holds degrees in piano performance from the Eastman School of Music (BM and MM) and The Juilliard School (DMA.) The New York Times praised his pianism for being “mature, refined, and elegant.” The New York Concert Review described him as a pianist with a musical persona akin to Rudolph Serkin. The Hong Kong Economic Review called him “unique among the contemporary Chinese pianists, for the aesthetic of his music can be traced back to the study and passion for Bach’s works.” Dr. Fung is currently the Carmean Endowed Professor of Music at Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania, USA. He is a Steinway Artist.

COVID STATEMENT
Pine Street Presbyterian Church will follow CDC guidelines to ease masking requirements and allow in-person gatherings, including food. While Dauphin and Cumberland Counties are in the low or medium community levels (according to the CDC’s “COVID-19 by County” page found at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html), masks will be optional for all Pine Street events, including worship. Session and staff will monitor the community levels and change health and safety guidelines if the local counties are high. Worshipers are welcome to wear masks if that helps them feel comfortable in worship.
