Pillsbury House + Theatre is proud to announce the launch of a new community arts and economic development hub: Pillsbury Creative Commons (PCC). With a new name and expanded facilities, PCC opens to the public on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with a vibrant block party celebration from 1–5 PM.
This expansion initiative deepens Pillsbury’s commitment to harnessing the power of arts, technical training, and community voice to transform lives and neighborhoods. The new campus, located next to Pillsbury House + Theatre and Full Cycle Bike Shop at 35th Street and Chicago Avenue, spans addresses 3501 to 3529 Chicago Avenue.
PCC is home to two dynamic new anchors:
KRSM 98.9 FM, a community radio station with 24-hour access for hosts and street-facing studios
The Scene Shop, a creative lab for the Technical Arts Training (TAT@P) program, led by André Samples, which trains community members in trades like carpentry, scenic painting, lighting, welding, and sound
