Mano Navarro inducted into Roll of Honour
Mano Navarro, a longtime advocate for sports and an influential figure in Manitoba’s archery community, will be honoured with the 2024 Archery Manitoba Presidential Award at the association’s annual banquet on January 19, 2025. He is the first Filipino Canadian to receive this prestigious recognition, marking his induction into the Archery Manitoba Roll of Honour. In its announcement, Archery Manitoba highlighted Navarro’s outstanding contributions to the sport, stating: “Our association presents this prestigious award as the highest accolade, recognizing
individuals who have made outstanding contributions to archery at the international, national, or provincial levels. Mano’s dedication and influence have impacted Manitoba’s archery community, and we sincerely appreciate his remarkable service.” Navarro expressed his gratitude in an interview with Pilipino Express: “As a recipient of the Archery Manitoba Presidential Award, I am deeply honoured and humbled by this recognition. Winnipeg chef headed to national competition by Lucille Nolasco-Garrido Pastry chef, Austin Ryan Granados is headed to Ottawa later this month to compete in the 2025 Canadian Culinary Championships. This, after the Fil-Canadian won Canada’s Great Kitchen Party Winnipeg recently, which is the regional qualifier for the Canadian championships.
