Pierce College baseball survives three straight elimination games By Abraham Elizalde Managing Editor

T

he No. 21 Pierce College Brahmas baseball team shocked the stands as they upset the No. 6 Glendale College Vaqueros and the No. 10 Golden West College Rustlers to advance in the playoffs. Glendale hosted the Southern California Regionals where the Brahmas went 3-1, losing the first game to the Rustlers before winning

three consecutive elimination games at the Stengel Field, May 1-3. Game one against the Rustlers had a shaky start for the Brahmas. Golden West began the game with command, scoring one run in the first inning then two more in the second to give the Rustlers a 3-0 lead going into the third. The Brahmas then came back with three runs in the third inning, thanks to JJ Fagfoomsintu, Carlos Macias and Braden Sellz. With a tied
