A Message from Leadership
Dear Sisters and friends, Giving to Pi Beta Phi Foundation is an absolute joy in my life. Like many Pi Phis, I’m someone who finds purpose in helping others. Whether I’m giving my time as a volunteer or financial resources as a donor, I choose to give back because of the wealth of friendships, opportunities and experiences Pi Phi continues to give each of us. Supporting our Foundation provides me a way to make an impact in someone else’s life while bringing greater meaning to my own. Every year, with every gift, every sister can make an impact for Pi Phi. As we welcome more women to the bonds of Pi Phi sisterhood, our needs continue to grow—and so do our opportunities to make a difference. We hear more heartfelt stories from members who are able to stay in college because of Foundation scholarships. We empower more emerging leaders with opportunities to develop and practice their skills. We inspire more young readers through our literacy initiatives and the dedication of our chapters and alumnae clubs. The work of our Fraternity requires strong financial support, and giving to our Foundation is a way everyone can make a difference. Choosing to focus on Pi Phi with our time and resources comes back to belief in our core values. Providing tools, perspectives and experiences that help our members pursue their passions and find their place in the world is critically important work. Pi Phi encouraged me to develop my own interest in leadership. Within our Foundation, my personal passion is ensuring we continue to offer leadership opportunities that allow women to discover their worth, grow in confidence and realize their potential. I recently fulfilled a long-awaited personal goal by serving as a facilitator at Pi Beta Phi Leadership Institute. After meeting the participants and learning about their dreams and passions, I’m more confident than ever about where our world is headed. I’m also reminded how vital it is to support our collegiate sisters as they begin their leadership journeys. As a Trustee, I'm fortunate to have greater insight into our organization's needs and how decisions are made about our resources. As a donor, I can assure you that the way our Foundation stewards your support inspires my confidence to keep giving and to serve. Our Foundation makes intentional, thoughtful choices and wisely directs gifts to ensure the most significant impact is possible. We strive for transparency and to share that impact with each of you. By being open about how your gifts make a difference, we hope to inspire your confidence to continue giving as well. I hope you'll enjoy this special issue celebrating how your support makes an endless impact for our sisterhood.
