Security Speed Lanes Coming Soon

New safety and security improvements are coming soon to the Calvin Goode Building In the coming days, securityspeed laneswill be installed at the building’s entrances and exits You will need to tap your employee ID badge to open the clear panels of the speed lanes They’ll be very similar to the ones already in use in the Municipal Court Building

Expired Badges Will Not Grant Entry!

If your City of Phoenix badge isexpired, it willnotwork on the speed lanes and you will be required to go through the public security screening and obtain a visitor badge If your badge is expired or expiring soon, please begin the replacement process now! Future plans also call for the same security improvements at City Hall entrances

What with all the sidewalk decals around the City Hall campus? They're part of the Phoenix History Walk, an America 250 exhibit celebrating our city, state, and region!

When you have some spare time, take the self-guided tour beginning at the northwest corner of 1st Ave. and Washington St. and follow the trail of 48 large, colorful decals on the sidewalk that highlight important moments in the history of the 48th U S state and the area that is present-day Phoenix

Points of Pride

Inside the City Hall atrium, you'll also find 12 Points of Pride highlighted on decals on the floor just past the front desk Scan the QR code on each one to access immersive, 360° videos of places like Camelback Mountain, St Mary's Basilica, or the Orpheum Theatre

You can use your phone to look up, down, and in all directions at each Point of Pride!

The Phoenix History Walk was a collaborative effort between the City Clerk Department's Printing, Design, and Mailing Services; the Public Works Facilities Operations Division; and the Mayor's Office Official Historian Steve Schumacher.

Training Deadline is Friday, July 31

Please ensure you have completed the second Community Transparency Initiative (CTI) training, which is required for all staff. This new course, due July 31, familiarizes employees with the resources available should members of the public have concerns about federal immigration enforcement activity in Phoenix. The training also helps reinforce our shared responsibilities, clarify procedures, and ensure employees are prepared if City services or facilities intersect with federal law enforcement

This training applies to employees who are full-time, parttime, seasonal, or temporary workers employed by the City, including interns, contractors under City supervision, and volunteers

Celebrating Our Fourth PSO Cohort

We are excited to recognize the graduation of our fourth cohort of the Phoenix Supervisor Orientation (PSO) program. This month, 30 supervisors representing 15 City departments/offices completed the eight week learning experience designed to build a strong, aligned foundation for leadership citywide

PSO ensures every City supervisor begins with a shared baseline of knowledge, skills, and expectations that support consistent, high‑impact leadership across our organization. Participants come together for a half day each week to learn essential supervisory tools and develop connections that will support them throughout their City careers.

Newly hired or newly promoted City supervisors are automatically enrolled in PSO, and a new cohort launches each month If you have questions or would like more information about joining an upcoming cohort, email PSO@phoenix.gov
