Prologue

In a dimly lit room filled with holographic screens and digital interfaces, Maya, a seasoned memory hacker, reviews her latest assignment. She extracts a MindCore from a high-security vault and is taken aback by the encrypted layers protecting it. This MindCore is different it's the key to something big.

The Discovery

Chapter 1

Maya lives in Neo-City, a sprawling metropolis where memory extraction technology has become ubiquitous. Memories are no longer private; they are commodities. The government and corporations exploit these memories for various purposes, from solving crimes to creating immersive entertainment.

Maya is a member of the Luminaries, an underground network of hackers dedicated to protecting individuals' privacy.

Chapter 2

During a routine hacking mission, Maya discovers a heavily encrypted MindCore. Intrigued by the challenge, she spends days cracking the encryption. Inside, she finds fragments of memories belonging to Dr. Elias Verne.

Dr. Elias Verne, a scientist involved in a top-secret government project called "Project Lumina.

Chapter 3

Maya deciphers Dr. Verne's memories, uncovering the initial stages of Project Lumina a bold initiative aimed at merging multiple consciousnesses to create a collective intelligence.

The project promises to solve humanity's greatest challenges but at the cost of individual identity.

Chapter 4

Realizing the implications, Maya contacts her fellow Luminaries.

They agree that Project Lumina is a threat to personal freedom and must be stopped. As Maya delves deeper, she discovers that the government has been using unethical means to test the project on unwilling subjects.
