TOSE ADEWUMI (Travis Younger) - Oluwatose was born in Portland, Oregon to Nigerian parents (Yemi and Mojoyin). He is the middle child of three boys. Tose attends Sewickley Academy. When he is not playing soccer, Tose enjoys performing arts and loves spending time with family, especially his brothers Tomiwa and Todi. Tose started attending performing arts camp when he moved to Sewickley in second grade.
HOPE M. ANTHONY* (Beneatha Younger) - Hope is beyond grateful to be making her Pittsburgh Public Theater debut! On stage credits include the CLO Cabaret, City Theatre, Byham, Benedum, New Hazlett, barebones blackbox, PICT, New Horizons, 12 Peers, and Off The Wall. Commercials: “Are You Covered?” for UPMC, Nestlé Drumstick®’s Anniversary Video, Aspirant LLC and VisitPITTSBURGH. Hope is the Artistic Education Associate and Lead Teaching Artist at Attack Theatre Inc. She sends love to her family, friends, mentors, this creative team, all of those here in spirit, and YOU.
KEN BOLDEN* (Karl Lindner) - Most recent work includes: As You Like It (Dukes good and bad) and Endgame (Nagg), both for PICT; King Lear (Gloucester) for Quantum; The Chair (Prof. Plum) and ARCHIVE 81 (Camera Store Owner), both for Netflix, and Mayor of Kingstown for Paramount+. He has been happy and fortunate to work in all of the professional theaters in town.
E. FAYE BUTLER* (Lena Younger) - Ms. Butler has 40 years of experience performing and directing plays, musicals, concerts, and cabarets nationally, internationally and regionally. She is the recipient of nine Jeff, two Helen Hayes, R.A.M.I., Ovation, Sarah Siddons, Excellence in Arts, Kathy Lampkey, Rosetta LeNoire, Guy Adkins, After Dark, Barrymore, two Black Excellence Hellman & Haver Awards, inducted into Women in the Arts Museum, Lunt-Fontaine Fellow, and Chicagoan of the Year. TY GILLIAM (Travis Younger) - Ty currently majors in musical theatre at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School. Past roles include Rooster (Annie Jr.), The Wolf (Into the Woods Jr.), Ensemble (Mary Poppins Jr.), and Starveling (A Kidsummer Night’s Dream). Finally, Ty has competed in Pittsburgh Public Theater’s Shakespeare Monologue & Scene Contest for three consecutive years.
KEVIS HILLOCKS* (Joseph Asagai) - Kevis is a Brooklyn, New York native. Off Broadway: X or Betty Shabazz v. the Nation (The Acting Company). Regional/touring: Julius Caesar (The Acting Company).

TOUSSAINT JEANLOUIS* (Walter Lee Younger) - Toussaint is thrilled to be making his debut at Pittsburgh Public Theater. Originally from Houston, Texas, he currently lives in NYC. Off-Broadway: Hot Wing King at Signature Theatre, DUAT at SoHo Rep. Regional: Parable of the Sower, Skeleton Crew, Pipeline, The Bacchae, and The Merchant of Venice. Love to my Mom.
SAMUAL S. LOTHARD (Moving Man) - Sam Lothard was born in Youngstown, Ohio but is now a proud Pittsburgher. Blessed and thankful to be working with Pittsburgh Public Theater for the first time, you may have seen Sam as David in Mark Southers’ film Cyril. Other projects include Project Amelia with Bricolage Theater, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and King Hedley II, Dr. Maya Angelou’s I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Monteze Freeland’s Kalopsia, and John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men. RICHARD McBRIDE (Bobo & Walter u/s) - Richard is thrilled to be back at Pittsburgh Public Theater. Richard most recently served as understudy for Two Trains Running directed by Justin Emeka. Having studied Musical Theatre at Point Park University, Richard celebrates anytime he gets the opportunity to take the stage here in Pittsburgh. Richard is beyond grateful and excited to breathe new life into this classic story!
BRENDEN PEIFER (George Murchinson) - Brenden is thrilled to return to Pittsburgh Public Theater following his debut as Sterling in August Wilson’s Two Trains Running. He has appeared in shows for City Theatre, New Hazlett’s CSA Series, Bricolage, New Horizon Theatre, Prime Stage, FolkLab, and Pittsburgh Pittsburgh Public Theater’s PlayTime series. @brendenpeifer
BRIAN STARKS (Moving Man) - This is Brian’s second production with The Pittsburgh Public Theater. He performed the role of Wolf in Two Trains Running. After performing in The Wiz as the Scarecrow and To Kill a Mockingbird as Tom Robinson, he’s looking forward to performing in this classic story. Born in Chicago and raised in Pittsburgh, these characters resonate with him like family. Thank you, Pittsburgh Public Theater, for letting me be a part of your history once again.
DEDRA D. WOODS* (Ruth Younger) - Dedra is a multi-disciplinary artist. A Detroit native, she has been working in Seattle’s Regional Arts scene since 2012. Her work has been seen at The Fifth Avenue Theater, Seattle Children’s Theater, The Williams Project, Seattle Public Theater, Intiman, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Upstart Crow Collective, and Arts West.
TRACEY D. TURNER (Lena Younger u/s) - Tracey is a Carnegie Mellon University alumna. Most recently, she’s appeared as Tatania/Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks and portrayed Lady Macbeth/Witch One in The Tragedy of MacBeth. She directed The 12 Dates of Christmas for Steel City Shakespeare Center, which was nominated for best holiday show in Pittsburgh 2021/2022. She is a host of independent film, commercials (including Shopping Pittsburgh), and TV where she is currently shooting A Mother’s Love. You can catch Tracey in The Last Witch Hunter with Vin Diesel for Lionsgate.
SHANNON ARIELLE WILLIAMS (Beneatha Younger u/s) - Shannon Arielle Williams is a recent graduate of Point Park University with a BFA in Acting. She is incredibly excited to be a part of her first professional production at Pittsburgh Public Theater. Shannon is grateful to have been a part of powerful storytelling during her career at Point Park University. Her recent credits include Dead Man’s Cellphone, Glitter in the Snow, and The Children’s Hour. She would like to thank her family and friends for all of their love and support!
TIMOTHY McCUEN PIGGEE* (Director) - A 2015 Lunt-Fontanne Fellow, Timothy is a Seattle-based performer, director, and educator. Nationally, his work has been seen at Pioneer Theatre Company, Denver Center Theatre Company, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Portland Center Stage Company, Arizona Theatre Company, and Milwaukee Repertory Theatre among others. On Broadway, Timothy originated the role of FBI Agent Bill Bod in the musical Catch Me If You Can. Timothy is currently a professor at Cornish College of the Arts.
STINA LOTTI* (Stage Manager) - Stina is thrilled to be making her Pittsburgh Public Theater debut! She is the Production Stage Manager at Seattle Rep, where she has worked on more than 30 shows. Humbly, she has been the stage manager for each of the Seattle Rep Public Works productions – The Odyssey, As You Like It, and The Winter’s Tale – and has been changed for the better because of it. Other credits in Seattle include Seattle Children’s Theater, the 5th Avenue, ACT, and Intiman. Other regional credits include the Guthrie, Mixed Blood, and Shakespeare Theatre Company.
JENNIFER J. ZEYL (Scenic Designer) - Jennifer is thrilled to make her Pittsburgh Public Theater debut! A Seattle-based scenic designer, stage director, and producer, she is honored to be the Artistic Director of Intiman Theatre, Founding Co-Artistic Director of Washington Ensemble Theatre, winner of The Stranger Genius Award in Theatre, and three-time Gregory Falls Best Scenic Design recipient. Jennifer is grateful to receive funding for her generative work from The Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, Theatre Communications Group, Map Fund, Creative Capital, Artist Trust, 4Culture, and The NEA. BFA Directing, BFA Theatre Design - University of Rhode Island 1996, MFA Scenic Design - University of Washington, 2003.
ALETHIA R. MOORE-DEL MONACO (Costume Designer) - Alethia R. Moore-Del Monaco is a costume designer/stylist who has designed for film, television, theatre, and opera, and for world premieres including Hazardous Materials at Creede Repertory Theatre, in Singapore for the pre-Broadway run of Judah Ben-Hur, and four seasons at the OSF.
SHERRICE MOJGANI (Lighting Designer) - Two Trains Running, Murder on the Orient Express, A Few Good Men, and Sweat at Pittsburgh Public Theater. Sherrice is an Assistant Professor at George Mason University in northern Virginia. She holds a BA in Theater Arts from UC Santa Cruz and an MFA in Lighting Design from UC San Diego. Smojgani.com
ANNIKA BENNETT (Dramaturg) - Annika is a Seattle-based dramaturg who has worked with companies including Seattle Rep, Book-It Repertory Theatre, and the Goodman Theater. Best wishes from the West Coast to Timothy, Marya, and the whole team!
GIN HAMMOND (Dialect Coach) - Gin Hammond is an A.R.T./MXAT grad and has been dialect coaching for almost 20 years. She is thrilled to work with Pittsburgh Public Theater!
CATHERINE H. KOLOS* (Youth Supervisor/Production Assistant) - Catherine is a multi-disciplinary artist with more than 16 wonderful years in the industry. Recent credits include the CLO, City Theatre, Front Porch Theatricals, PICT, and Shakespeare in Litchfield Hills. She is a passionate advocate for the mentorship of early- career artists, a seasoned voice-over artist, and served throughout the pandemic as a nationally-certified COVID Safety Manager, aiding professional theatres through their reopenings. Ms. Kolos is both a member of and advocate for Actors’ Equity Association, the union of professional Actors & Stage Managers in the US.
ZACH MOORE (Sound Designer) - Zach most recently designed Spring Awakening and Curtains for The Pittsburgh Playhouse. His 100 sound designs at Pittsburgh Public Theater include the world premiere of The Chief, original music for Marjorie Prime, Hamlet, and Equus, and designs for Sweat, The Humans, The Diary of Anne Frank, and Thurgood. Other collaborations include Asolo Rep, City Theatre, PICT, NBA Ballet in Tokyo, TheaterWorks Hartford, The Huntington, Long Wharf Theatre, and Dallas Theater Center.
JOSÉ PÉREZ IV (Fight Director) - José is the Resident Fight Director of Pittsburgh Public Theater. His artistic focus is primarily creating original fight productions and facilitating processes that support mental health. José is Artistic Director of Big Storm Performance Company and holds an MFA in Performance Pedagogy from the University of Pittsburgh and a BFA in Drama from NYU. Society of American Fight Directors member since 2009.
SHERRY DEBERSON (Hair & Makeup Designer) - Sherry is very happy to be back designing for The Public again after last season’s Murder on the Orient Express and Two Trains Running. Design credits include Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, CLO, Elsen Associates (Operas), Opera Theater of Pittsburgh, and City Theatre. She has also worked on film and commercials.
TOMÉ COUSIN (Intimacy Coordinator) - Theatrical Intimacy Educators T.I.E., Intimacy Coordinators of Color (I.C.OC.) For Netflix: Nyad, The Pale Blue Eyes, Rusin, Billy Porter’s directorial debut What If?. Resident Intimacy Coordinator for CLO 2022 season. City Theatre: Clyde’s and Paradise Blue. DOMINIQUE BRIGGS (Assistant Director) - Dominique Briggs is the Assistant Director for Pittsburgh Public Theater’s production of A Raisin in the Sun. She has appeared in productions including Savior Samuel, A Man of No Importance, Kalopsia the Musical, and King Hedley II. Dominique is also a children’s author and voice over artist.
KELLY HAYWOOD* (Assistant Stage Manager) - Kelly is excited to be back with Pittsburgh Public Theater. Past productions with Pittsburgh Public Theater include Barefoot in The Park, Slow Food, Little Shop of Horrors, Born Yesterday, Noises Off, An Iliad, A Servant of Two Masters, and True West. Kelly has also done several productions with the Pittsburgh Opera, CLO, and Pittsburgh Ballet.

If you are unable to attend a performance, call the Box Office at 412.316.1600 as late as an hour before curtain time to donate your tickets. Your generosity will be acknowledged with a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution.
Latecomers will be seated in the upper level. Patrons leaving their seats during a performance can be reseated at intermission.
Unless otherwise noted, children under the age of seven will not be admitted.
Please turn off all handheld devices. Texting, photography, and the use of any devices, including cameras and phone, is strictly prohibited during the performance.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the theater.
As a courtesy to the actors and fellow patrons, please refrain from talking, unwrapping candy or creating other distractions during the performance.
