The British Columbia Northern Exhibition (BCNE) is adding an autumn twist this summer. The 114th BCNE, hosted by the Prince George Agricultural and Historical Association (PGAHA), runs Aug. 13 to 16 at Exhibition Park. It has a Halloween theme this year, with organizers encouraging families and visitors of all ages to wear costumes and take part in Halloween-themed events over the four days of the exhibition. PGAHA/BCNE president Amy Heise told The Citizen the idea to celebrate the spooky season grew out of the popularity of dressing up at this year’s Renaissance Fair. CONTINUED ON PAGE 2
