THE PEAK DISTRICT
It’s often overlooked, but the UK is home to some of the most stunning coastlines and countryside spots. From the beautiful sights of the Peak District to the coastal charms of Margate, the UK does really have it all if you’re willing to explore it. THE NORTHUMBERLAND COAST South of the Scottish border is one of the most unspoilt coastline in the whole of Britain. Stretching from Berwick-upon-Tweed to the village of Cresswell, Northumberland Coast offers spectacular landscapes, perfect sandy beaches, a variety of wildlife to see and historical sites to explore. If you’re looking for a “walking holiday”, then look no further.
DURHAM Looking for something a little romantic? Then Durham is the perfect place for you. Not only is Durham bursting with cosy cafes, noteworthy pubs, amazing churches and historic locations, it is surrounded by rolling countryside and beautiful villages for you to enjoy.
THE PEAK DISTRICT You can’t mention UK holiday destinations without mentioned the Peak District. Slap-bang in the centre of Britain, the Peak District national park is a great location for you to explore. A favourite among explorers thanks to its homely B&Bs, scenic walking trails and wonderful pubs.
LLANDUDNO This north Wales resort town offers it all. It’s a classic British beach resort where you’ll find Punch & Judy shows, donkey rides, Britain’s only remaining cablehauled street tramway and, of course, a pier stuffed with amusement arcades and food stalls. For an added bonus, the amazing Conwy Castle is just a tenminute drive away from the beach.
THE NORFOLK BROADS If you’re looking for something a little different, but is still relaxing and adventurous, it’s hard to beat a boating holiday. Navigate waterways through East Anglia and take in the charming villages, beautiful market towns and medieval churches and abbeys.
MARGATE A favourite spot for art, music, bars and restaurants, this vibrant Kentish town has become a hotspot for people wanting to leave behind their busy city life and enjoy a relaxing break by the beach. If you’re also wanting to keep the kids entertained, the Dreamland amusement park and entertainment centre will take all your worries away.

KEEPING THE KIDS ENTERTAINED DURING THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS Keeping your kids entertained during the summer holidays is essential for a happy life. Follow our tips to keep your life as stress free as possible.
Coming up with ideas to keep your kids entertained during the school holidays is a daunting task at the best of times, but now, thanks to Covid-19 already keeping our kids off school for months already, it seems like an impossible task. Fear not, we have some tips for you that could save you from pulling your hair out. GETTING OUT AND ABOUT During the school holidays, it’s not uncommon to find things going on in your local area for free. Check the websites of your local council and tourist information centres for local days out, or you can even scan the local papers and community centres to see if anything takes your interest. Why not even visit your local library and see if they hold events such as story time, or arts and crafts days. Libraries are also a great source of activity in themselves of course, with plenty of books and computers to keep children busy. Why not also try checking if your local council swimming pool offers free or reduced-fee entrance in the school holidays, or if any nearby museums and galleries have any exhibitions and events running in the summer as many places will put on special events for children.
HAVING FUN INDOORS Everyone has days where they don’t want to step foot out of the house, but that doesn’t mean staying indoors has to be boring. You could play a board game, or play dress up, or even arrange a movie day by choosing a couple a films, grabbing some popcorn and putting your feet up - if you want to take that last idea further, why not build a little den together made out of the sofa cushions.
If your little ones show signs of being the next Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsay then why not even cook together? It’s entertaining for them and helps you with the dinner. Perfect!
THE GREAT OUTDOORS When the weather is on your side, it’s the perfect time to make the most of simple activities like picnics and a few ball games. If you’re lucky enough to have a garden, you don’t even have to go far, you can have your own back garden day out. Organising a treasure hunt around your home and garden with clues spread about and treats to find will never fail to entertain. Even hold your own mini Olympic games - a sack race with pillowcases or a tug of war match with a dressing gown belt is sure to do the trick. If you have a tent then why not even have your own little camping trip in the back garden for a night, or if the weather is too windy for you, make the most of it, head out and grab yourself a kite - you’ll be surprised how fun it can be… for you and the children.

8 TIPS TO MANAGE YOUR STRESS It’s time to get yourself booked in with some “me” time.
It’s not difficult to forget to take care of ourselves in today’s world, but it’s important for our mental health that we allow ourselves to take a backseat away from the stresses of the job or the hectic lives we lead. It’s time to get ready, turn off your phone (yes, we said it, turn it off) and get yourself some “me” time because you deserve it. 1. Get Moving Exercise triggers the brain to release feel-good hormones called endorphins, which will make you feel good and ready for the day ahead. 2. Drink Tea More specifically, drink Green Tea. Green Tea is rich in L-Theanine, a chemical that is proven to reduce stress. 3. Return to Nature Get yourself away from your television screen and out enjoying the calmness of nature. 4. Write in a Journal Writing your thoughts down is a brilliant way to get the deepest emotions out of your head and is a great way to practice some good old fashioned introspection.
5. Unplug From Social Media I know we’ve already mentioned turning your phone off, but we’re going to do it again because this is an import one to get away from everything and have “me” time. If you must have your phone on, then sign yourself out of all social media accounts to avoid those constant notifications. 6. Meditate Most know about meditation but only a few practice it. This is one of the best ways to calm your mind. There are plenty of books on the subject matter that will help you get stress free. 7. Do Yoga Yoga is just meditation but with an added physical component for those looking for something “extra”. 8. Cuddle with a Pet Pets are great, they often know something’s up even before other humans do. A good cuddle will do you more good than you think. Side note: Don’t try to cuddle your goldfish, that won’t end well.
