The next question everyone is asking is; how will the referendum vote affect the property market? With just under three months to go, this is becoming a hot topic. Without a reliable crystal ball, all we can say is that all markets crave certainty. The property market is no different. The outcome of the referendum does seem to be uncertain and this uncertainty is the one fact that all the parties appear to agree on. The vote will be close; a classic case of uncertainty, however buyers and sellers will still wish to move and with mortgage money still freely available, there is no reason why sales will not still be agreed. After the vote, whichever way it goes, there will be a period of adjustment that will take place. The good news is that First Time Buyers are back and this is even before the Government’s intention to level the playing field in their direction against the Buy-To-Let Investor. Emma’s BIG BREAK
She first shot to fame in 2001 as Hermione Granger and now Emma Watson, is taking a year out as she reaches 264

This month, Emma Watson is turning 26 and we can’t quite believe it. First rising to fame in 2001 as Hermione Granger, the British actress has gone onto become one of the world’s most famous women as well as becoming a notable activist. Before appearing in all eight Harry Potter films, Emma had only acted in school plays and has since gone on to star in a number of films including The Bling Ring and Perks of Being a Wallflower. Since 2011, Emma has split her time between working on film projects and continued her education, graduating in May 2014 from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. However, Emma wasn’t your average student, with a portfolio of modelling campaigns behind her. Emma’s success hasn’t gone unnoticed however and in 2014, she was awarded a BAFTA for British Artist of the Year. That same year, she was appointed as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador after her help in launching the UN Women campaign HeForShe, which calls for men to advocate gender equality. She may have an extensive career background but it seems that Emma is taking some time out from the film industry and is instead focusing on her feminism. “I almost thought about going and doing a year of gender studies, then I

realised that I was learning so much by just speaking with people and doing my reading.” However, it won’t be all rest for the young British lady who was born in Paris. Emma is also preparing for the HeForShe arts week, a university tour, launching the HeForShe website and completing a yoga level 3 teaching certificate.“It’s a really cool period of time for me. My work that I do for the UN is all very clearly outlined, but my personal views and opinions are still being defined, really. So it’ll be an interesting time.” Although Emma won’t be making any new films for a while, fans can still watch her on the big screen later this year when “The Circle” is released, and then again in 2017, when the real-life adaptation of “Beauty and The Beast” is scheduled to enter theatres. But if you can’t wait until then, Emma has recently starred in American drama, Colonia, set for release on the 15th April. Colonia tells the story of a young woman’s desperate search for her abducted boyfriend. She is then drawn into the infamous Colonia Dignidad, a sect nobody ever escaped from, promising a thrilling yet feared outcome. We wish Emma the best birthday month and hope it isn’t long before we see her back on our screens n

Canvey Island
