Factfulness (Year 6 version) Pupils explore common global misconceptions using data and simple statistics. They learn to challenge stereotypes, interpret graphs, and understand how the world is changing over time. The Best Time to Be Alive? (Quality of Life & Standard of Living) Students investigate what makes life “good,” comparing access to healthcare, education, food, water, and technology in different countries. Emphasis is placed on recognising global progress as well as remaining inequalities. Impossible Places Pupils study contrasting and extreme environments, including informal settlements such as Kibera, Arctic locations like Svalbard, and desert cities such as Las Vegas. They explore how people survive, adapt, and thrive in challenging locations.

The Year 6 lessons focus on swimming more confidently, improving their strokes, coordination, breathing techniques, stamina and learning personal survival skills. Main strokes this term; Breaststroke and Butterfly.
Relationships – the foci will be on mental health, dealing with grief, bullying, and staying safe online Changing Me – the foci will be self-image & self-esteem, puberty, reproduction, and the changing nature of relationships as pupils become teenagers.
