OVERVIEW OF THE TOPIC

In this Puzzle, pupils explore the kinds of changes that may happen to themselves and those around themas they getolder. There is a lesson recappingon whathappens to the body physically in puberty, and then they learn more abouthow their brains change and considerhow this may affecttheiremotions and behaviour. Pupils learn what influences these changes and develop strategies for self-regulation as well as exploring other sources of support. Selfimage is revisited, and how this may change as we get older. This Puzzle also gives pupils the time to consider other external changes in the lives of themselves and others that they cannot control (such as changes in their family, moving house, moving to a new school etc.) and how they can use and develop different strategies and skills that they already have to prepare for these and move forwards positively.
