Using Kawung batik patterns on the façade reflects Javanese cultural identity, offeringalocalapproach that connects the pavilion to its surroundingculture.
Genikan Village, Magelang, locatedatthefootofMount Merbabu, is home to a majority of vegetable farmers. The village's remote location makes it difficult for them to market their agricultural products outside the area. Additionally, they face annual concerns over crop failure without understandingthecause.In response to these challenges,Ihavedesigned the Genikan Agricultural Depottoserveasabridge for marketing the village's producetoexternalmarkets, while also acting as an agriculturaleducationcenter for the local community, aiming to enhance their knowledge and agricultural resilience.
