How can I reduce the risk of developing cervical cancer? HPV Vaccination Through vaccination, we can develop antibodies that can protect us against HPV infection. This can reduce the risk of cancer. Screening Test Regular cervical screening helps to detect changes that lead to cervical cancer. Treatment of these changes will prevent the development of cervical cancer. All women who have ever had sexual intercourse should undergo regular screening with the HPV and/or cervical cytology test.
