Welcome to The PRQHBA Horse Sale & Futurities The fun starts on Saturday, September 3rd with our 2 & 3-year-old futurity. Start time is 1:00pm. We have prizes and paybacks in these event. There is a saddle up for grabs for the champion all-around along with prizes and pay-backs. Horses that were bought threw or consigned to the sale are eligible for these futurities. There will be food available provided by D’Z Foods. Sunday September 4th, we start off the day with our PRQHBA Open Performance Yearling Futurity. Start time is 8:00am. Only horses that were purchased threw the PRQHBA Sale are eligible for the yearling futurities. There is a colt class and a filly class with awards given to 4th place. There is $6000. added to the Open Classes. Immediately following the Open Classes, we will have our Youth Yearling Futurity. Any youth can show a qualified yearling in this futurity. There is a colt class and a filly class and there will be prizes and pay-out for both classes. For more information on the futurities please call 406-427-5420. The sale horse preview will begin directly after the Futurities. All ride horses are required to go threw the preview. The Livestock Link will be filming the preview and broadcasting it on the web. This is the only opportunity our online & phone bidders have, to see your horse in action. At 12:30pm we will have our awards presentation for our futurities. Horse Sale starts 1:00pm.

The PRQHBA Sale held in Broadus, MT is one of the longest running Association sales in the United States and we are proud to bring you a quality set of horses year after year. All horses sold in the sale will be screened by the sale committee and attending veterinarian. The sale preview will follow the futurities and Sale start time is 1:00pm. Sale Terms & Conditions 1. The auctioneer will sell each horse to the highest bidder and will settle any dispute which may arise as to the bids and the buyers. 2. Payment must be made in full to the clerk of the sale immediately following the sale. Cash ,Credit Card (4% fee) & approved check in US FUNDS will be accepted. 3. All consignments will be at the Multi-Purpose building at the fairgrounds by Saturday evening the day before the sale. You are invited to contact individual consignors personally for more information about specific horses. 4. All statements or printed matter pertaining to the horses selling through this auction are made to the best of our knowledge. Sellers are completely responsible for papers being in order. PRQHBA will hold proceeds until papers are in order! 5. Comments on Sale Day will take precedence over printed material or internet information. 6. All buyers will sign an “Acknowledgement of Purchase”.

Horses purchased become the property of the buyer upon the fall of the gavel and the buyer assumes all risk and expense of the horse from this time forward. 8. Every horse must have a brand release before it leaves the building, and a paid receipt must be presented to the brand inspector before a brand release will be issued.. 9. A veterinarian and brand inspector will be present at the sale. Sale horses are required to have Coggins Test to be in the sale. 10. All buyers are responsible for removal of their purchases from the area the same day as the sale. Thereafter, the buyer is responsible for making arrangements for appropriate care of their horses(s). 11. All horses are offered for sale according to the laws of the State of Montana. Buyers will

pay a brand inspection fee that will be added to the purchase price of the horse when making settlement 12.Unless otherwise announced at the time of the sale by the owners from the auctioneer, there is no guarantee or warranty of any kind as to the soundness or condition of any horse in the sale. 13.Each horse’s registration papers will be withheld by the sales management until the buyer’s check has cleared the bank. At such time, the papers along with transfer certificate will be mailed to each buyer. 14. Powder River Quarter Horse Breeders Association acts as an agent only, but will endeavor to protect the interest of both buyer and seller 15. All bred mares must have a vet certificate no more than 15 days old stating the pregnancy status or the mare will be sold as exposed to a stallion. Once a mare is sold, there can be no refusal to pay because of pregnancy status.

We started “Hotrod” this spring in the Bill Oliver colt starting clinic. He was super easy to start and on the third day of the clinic my 12-year-old cousin (Devon) was riding him around in the arena and over the bridge. Dan currently has twenty rides on him and will have forty by sale day. He has been behind cattle and will see a lot more cattle before sale day. Here is an opportunity to own an outstanding young gelding that won’t be offered for sale many more times in his lifetime.
